    Apple won't brick them but may relock them just dont update, I actually ordered a protective case and a plastic film cover for the screen for mine, youtube is down again but its a server prob I hope

    2. Will Apple have some other way of locking the iPhone if I do get one???

    1. PowerHouseDan has bought off them and comfirmed they're legit.

    2. Apple may re-lock them in firmware upgrades, so don't upgrade the firmware till theres an unlock out for it.

    Yes the Firmware upgrade comes via itunes,but wont force you to update.The New Firmware WILL lock your phone as it update the base firewire which locks your phone anyway its just a question if Apple have made it harder to unlock, Simple answer dont update. I have Bought off unlockthatiphone and more than happy with my iphone and kept in contact with me after i purchased it as i had questions so it is legit and i will be buying off them again.I will keep people updated anyway with the story with the firmwire upgrade. And with regards the youtube problem its a server issue.

    Hi Everybody,

    I realize there is an i-phone thread as a sticky above but there is far too much in there to read.

    My company are sending everyone in my dept an i-phone as a bonus. Im the only European based person in the dept so I want to know if it will work for me. Or if not how I can go about getting it too work. Or should I send it back and tell them to send me one when they are released in Europe. I am currently on a company Vodafone plan. I have read in some places that O2 will be getting exclusive rights to it.

    If anyone knows anything that might help just drop me a message or a reply

    Shipping aint that bad at all for that 16 dollars.... Save myself 16 dollars and get one in america but still not bad shipping considering ebay sellers are looking for about 23 dollars.

    The new firmware will more than likely be released tomorrow the past 2 updates have been released on a Tuesday... and With Wifi tunes lauching the end of the month, and the touch on the 28th its looking like tomorrow for D Day

    1. your phone will NOT read the contacts off the sim!! hard to believe, i know. the only way to do it is to sync your old phone with outlook or address book( MAC) and the sync via itunes

    2. it indicates when you are on EDGE. ( not literally of course )

    you can download the users manual from apples website.

    I agree with kevmac, it was quite rude of muffdogg to not bother to click back 2 pages and read the unlocking turorials!

    My views on that review is that ALL and i mean ALL phones are different and have diff features...The iphone is touch screen the n95 is not, the n95 is bulky the iphone is not.The problem is the person who writes that review is a Nokia head, A bit like me being honest i dont like any other phone other than nokia's because they are easy to use and almost every nokia have the same navigation, The iphone is COMPLETY diff, and Yes i didnt like it to start with now i love it,Yeah it could have more features,etc but its the first iphone VERSION 1... The phone does everything you want it to do,Wifi, Sms, Calls internet, Email music..I do Agree with alot the review says, but as firmwares get updates these WILL be address too, its only software issue not hardware.Everyone has diff opinions,You Either love it or hate it.My 2 cents.And with the lauch of a 3g with added gps and hd upgrade and maybe memory card addition what phone cant it beat in time.

    Lazy people yeah there is a free unlock but the fact your to lazy to read i am to lazy to tell you.. There is a iphone thread for iphone posts.... Its not there for the fun of it.Also when are you planning to get the phones because there might be a good chance it will have the new firmware on it....
