actually I've just noticed that both Nani and Anderson have been signed "in principle".

I hope that "in principle" doesnt translate as "if we can get them to sign before Chelsea come in and treble our offers" :(

"Personal terms have been agreed and a formal announcement will take place once the necessary administrative procedures, including a medical have been completed."

i assume its just getting documents sorted and stuff (legalities) and also the mdeical, they wouldnt anounce it otherwise as it would let others react!

looks like an attacking center midfielder, so probably scholes's replacement. Looks very strong and not greedy at all from those youtube clips.

    Midfield according to this

Very interesting signings and i hope its the first of a few more. We still need another out and out striker though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 911 ✭✭✭Little-Devil

Hopefully she gets in trouble with SAF by saying something stupid, he might be out quicker then we think. I just Anderson profile, exciting times may be happening at Manu next season. I wont expect to much tho from either next season, looking forward to next season already. I wont believe anything until i see each player in a Manu jersey

All we need now is a topclass striker, TORRES please

You cant base much on youtube videos but im quite impressed with Anderson. Looks like he may be quite a player in a few years.

The fee is rumoured to be 17 million each (not sure if thats pounds sterling or yoyo's).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,836 ✭✭✭Vokes

^Betchya those fees are in installments, which would be good business.

Yeah, Anderson is a creative centre mid. Looks like they're gonna groom him to be Scholes replacement. Can also play on the wing.

so like 50 odd mill in total, does this mean we arent getting a striker?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,726 ✭✭✭kaisersose77

"Anderson has been named in Brazil coach Dunga's squad for the Copa America in Venezuela next month, but not Friday's friendly with England at Wembley. "

will be watching the copa america so!

    Rossi ???????

Ronaldo Playing a more central role maybe.

They need a world class goal poacher and I doubt Ferguson is gonna take a chance on Rossi just yet

This is great news...just checked out Anderson on Youtube and watch what he does with the ball here after 1 min, blink and you'll miss it.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QoRV7JuQOc

I'm not sure Fergie will sign a new striker now. I think he may just go with a very fluid 4-3-3 formation...

    VDS/Foster

    Neville
    Vidic
    Ferdinand
    Evra

    Carrick
    Scholes/Anderson
    Hargreaves

    Ronaldo
    Rooney
    Nani/Giggs

Cannot wait for next season!! Did anyone see this coming? This has really knocked me for six. Years of frustration with Utd's failure in the Summer transfer market and then this.....bravo Fergie and Queiroz (who's influence was obviously a major factor in these deals).

Wow, only finding out about these now. This is very exciting indeed. Hopefully Hargreaves gets wraped up and we have the rest of the summer to find a striker.

Didn't Ferguson say that he wants three signings in the summer?

    1. Nani
    2. Hargreaves
    3. Anderson

Presume that's Fergusons dealings done for the summer? Must have a lot of faith in Rossi???

why is everone so worried about up fron these signin mean united will stick to 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1) with plenty of back up in midfield now and Rooney, Saha, Smith and Rossi all for 1 spot up front

yeah, you'll never win anything with youngsters.

They look to be inspired signings, I'm just surprised that they managed the coup without Chelsea hijacking it. After all, these aren't unknown youngsters.

A coup it is and I'm glad that it looks like United have the ambition back.

Sky said each deal would be about €25 million, so £17 million sounds right. Although I'd be surprised if they were both straight fees.

I have to admit that video was the first I've seen of Anderson, and all I can say is

lads, i wouldnt get overly excited about what it shows on youtube.from above i'm sure ya'll agree, easy to make people look like world beaters with compilations!

looks like good business though (lot of money but if they work, well worth it)

Cheers, that's over 50 million spent so far. I wonder who'll be leaving? The Glazers have certainly surprised me today. for sure.

well kewell was actually brilliant at leeds until he got greedy and married the one from Emmerdale and he still will have moments of brilliance at liverpool.

i doubt Utd bought him because he looked good on youtube ;)

it'll probably be half that up front for each player, full of other bonus's that will probably never have to be paid. It said somewhere that Nani wass out of contract this summer or next summer and wouldnt sign a new deal, so i doubt it'll be anything like 25million euros.

    GREAT NEWS..
Two very very good signings, on loan players coming back ...
The squad is looking good and strong (will have good cover in most if not all positions ?? )
Last piece of jigsaw would be out and out striker......
Oh and it's only MAY 30TH

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

true i'm sure they didnt, but people here are going wild cause he looks good on youtube!

knowing my luck though they'll probably both be excellent! :(
