Already posted a work log for this a while back, just posting a picture of the finished article. Its a crappy Qtec case that I got to just try out some modding on. Everything custom designed by myself.

    Cheers.

    Found it

€53 incl delivery. Bit steep. I'll call in to peats see if they can maybe order one (hopefully cheaper).

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,033 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

I seriously doubt peats will be any cheaper. IIRC, the side panel was about €70 there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 143 ✭✭mac_leinn

Newegg has them for only $15 (about €10). If only they shipped to europe...

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,630 ✭✭✭gline

i got stuff delivered from new egg before, shipping wasnt cheap though

I bought a Stacker side panel in Peats a few months ago...around €35 if my aged memory serves.

Of course a few hours work with a jigsaw, files, drill and a bit of €10 plexi will do the job perfectly...and much more satisfying.

Thanks for the info. I ordered the stacker yesterday. I'll call into peats tonight. See if I can pick one up or order one.

As for the DIY job that hopeful suggested, I think I'll pass.
The stacker if for my first build and dont want to go charging in with powertools :)

I meant to do a write up of this on my site, but the server it's one has gone tits up.
    Anyway, i turned this
    dsc01876800ln9.jpg
    into
    dsc01905800gk5.jpg
    based on The Mandalorians
I'm just annoyed with myself I used my scratched panel, becuase I though it turn out sh1te.

Side panel looks very nice indeed...good work. Why not go the whole way and paint all the panels if you are worried about the scratches?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,105 ✭✭✭Explosive_Cornflake

    Thanks!
I may do yet, but it's actually a nice paint job on the box, it's quite glossy, and I don't really trust myself on that.

What did you use to affix the perspex? or is it just a hole?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,105 ✭✭✭Explosive_Cornflake

B & Q have large sheets, 2' X 4' 2mm perspex. Not sure on price, around €20 something I'd guess though. I got my Auld lad to pick one up for me. Would easily do 3 midi towers.

liking that dbz vegeta decal :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,067 ✭✭✭L31mr0d

Its not a decal its an etch, done with my dremel. Its actually gone now as I installed a huge Zalman 9500 which meant I could no longer have a fan over the CPU, so I cut a new window and placed it below the VGA.
