they never broke up, all the worthwhile members just left, with Slash having sold the rights to the name to Axl, who's been raping it for a decade. Besides, they were never that great. The current musicians have even more skill. Buckethead is a better player than Slash, but as a musician he sucks.

according to his own, self maintained site, he is supporting them. He'll probably be first on followed by DeVotchka and then the dolls themselves

amanda streaked at glasto last year. During Bright Eyes' set she ran on fully naked and kissed Conor. He however was too pissed to remember that or a number of other more contaversial things from his set.

Tickets are €55.50 afaik. This sadly means no black leather boots for Liz as the rest of my money IN THE WORLD is being spent on that ticket. (assuming I'm allowed go- I'll probably have to clean my room again >.<)

rumours that it may just be a succession of singles

or an internet thing

they apparently don't like the pressure of an album release, having to get everything done by a deadline and all that jazz ya know

also there is word of a Thom solo record

pitchfork reported that Thom is contributing to the sound track of a new movie and that the song will be from his forthcoming solo record. Might be bull****.

ooh, and the Pixies have a european tour this year though they haven't announced an Irish date as of yet. However there are only 6 gigs confirmed over a timespan of mid July to the end of August...

This is a damn good year for good music...

Okay... I know I posted already but I'm too lazy to edit. Erm... Probably Opeth, hopefully Slane if Green Day are playing, as rumoured, Oxegen - now unlikely but I live in hope, Pixies (if they're on, I'm there!), Trinity Ball (Ocean Colour Scene, The Futureheads, Felix Da Housecat, The Blizzards, Mundy, Republic Of Loose, Humanzi, etc, etc, there's also comedy, a burlesque show and a freak show... should be interesting...)

I need money. I want to go to my school's debs 'cause loads of my friends did TY and I also have to go to see Waiting For Godot 'cause it's on my course... All donations gratefully accepted! (*hint* *hint*)

Also, I didn't see it posted here but I hear that the Goo Goo Dolls are on on May 26th. I have exams so I can't go, but I thought that might interest a few of you.
