    the hell?

it's a psp for christ sake. no one should ever expect "the next evolution on from sa" from a console that fits in your palms. that's not the purpose of the bloody yoke

I read a review in a mag recently that discribed it as such.

    Was the reviewer ostentatiously mongolian?

lets face it lads, it's a hand held, we'll have to get used to it not being a PC.

Tbh all this ghosting nonsense people are complaining about is pathetic. Throw your minds back to GTA 3 across all formats. There was an option to turn the blur effect on and off. The 'ghosting' on the PSP is just the same as that. Personally I think its deliberate, making it feel like GTA 3. I just played it 5 mins ago for the first time and as soon as I saw the "ghosting" I immediately thought 'Ah, just like GTA 3'. This should deffo not be an issue for anybody who can appreciate GTA...in your hands...whenever/wherever the feck ya want!

Now, please, forget the ghosting issue and continue with your thoughts and opinions on some other aspects of the game for a change. Pfft. ;)

    END OF RANT...

Well, having played every GTA game (including the 2D versions with the exception of the GBA version) pretty much to completion, I am definitely someone "who can appreciate GTA". The trails may be a stylistic decision from the programmers, but IMO, it's the wrong decision! As soon as I started GTA3, I turned them off because they looked dreadful and the same with Vice City. The graphics were rich and evocative enough for a cheap visual effect to be unnecessary. The fact that we don't have to option to turn them off is stupid, especially on a machine that is already hamstrung by a slightly dodgy screen, response time wise.

The rest of the game seems very strong, however, and I am enjoying it immensely, but the ghosting is like an itch you can't scratch.

Is ghosting the kind of blurry lines you get from the car lights and things? If so i barely even noticed that and dont find it annoying at all. I actually think its a pretty good affect and adds to that murky gta atmosphere. Im actually pretty surprised by peoples reactions to this game. Its a handheld console that fits in your pocket ffs Its a remarkable achievment to be able to fit such a massive game into such a small space. only four years ago people couldnt believe the scope of gta 3 on a home console? and whats peoples complaints about the price all of a sudden, 60 euro is an extortionate price to pay but its always been the way and Id rather pay it for gta than for a ds game,a gba game or a gameboy colour game(nothing against nintendo im just giving examples)

Some lad in CD World in the Long-Walk Shopping Center just didn't have a clue when it was coming out
So I walked in, not saying a word and I walked out smiling with my GTA. Would that make me one of the 1st people,
to offialy buy it in Europe. If so brilliant, if not..... Oh! Well.
