I had the same problem…after being passed around alot.. I was eventually told the sky Customer services wont have full access to this untill the 26th of March. And not to pay the extra 3 for the add free version untill then to avoid paying extra.

Coming to the end of a 3 month €6.49 standard ad-free offer. The cancellation offer is €6.99 for another 3 months and then €11.99 full price. Looks like another price increase incoming.

Have been paying the the yearly sub for years but we kept all our Tesco vouchers this year to use towards Disney as it seems a good deal but I have a few questions.

Can I sub for the year and just pay the difference not covered by the vouchers or does it have to be in 3 month blocks?

I cancelled my sub as I couldn’t see a way to renew with the vouchers, I assume I can reactivate without losing any of my watch history etc.

The club card is in my wife’s name and the Disney account in mine, is this an issue for using the vouchers towards Disney?

    Thanks in advance.

i think it has to be in 3 month blocks

    reactivate account maintains history

don't think it matters about different names for voucher/disney account

if you have sky, it might be a better option for you than the tesco vouchers - basic is free, standard is €3 pm, premium is €8 if i rem rightly

Thanks, I don't have sky so was looking at using the vouchers. I am only realising now though it is the standard sub the vouchers appear to apply to - can they be applied to premium at all? I have premium and wouldn't want to drop down from the 4k content etc.

I've had Disney since the beginning and it's just been on auto renew so never really realised they have different subs now etc.

Anyone have any issues yet with sharing a sub? I have been using my sister's family account and am getting locked out as it gives the message "you are not part of this household"

Disney don’t allow sharing, same as Netflix.

I can’t believe the posts on here on sharing sub. All but the account owner who gets the email will be locked out after 30 days.

Yeah that's why I was asking as I've seen people sharing subs so was hoping for some feedback from them. One solution would be to set up a Disney family account using a new email address that all members have access to?

Thats how Disney plus always worked, everyone sharing uses the same email. Like Netflix. I think there is a 'add extra member function', not sure how that works or how much it costs. Its not like Google/youtube.

Ah ok that makes sense. I pay a fiver a month to be added onto a mates Netflix account. Would be happy to do that with Disney if they offered it

Happened me too. I've a group going for a few years and now I'm being locked out. Shared email but Disney have still copped on. I think one of the group have been using a vpn and it might have triggered something. Not sure what error code 83 means.

    Nothing was reported to me.

Only issue which I've is non payment.

If everyone uses the same email and password, how can certain ppl be blocked? Surely the whole account would be blocked? This part I dont get. Unless Disney are flagging IP addrsses?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 95 ✭✭kheb

They send a code to the email address, so unless everyone has access to the email account, it won't work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,902 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

What does that have to do with being locked out by Disney? Whoever owns the email can send the code (valid for a limited time I assume?)

Once you have logged in you should be fine

Perhaps I'm reading these comments wrong

True. However, if you are part of a Boards Family for Disney, this can be tricky. As other posters have suggested, if all members of the family also have access to the email account, this problem can be overcome.

You can't be contacting the account holder for passwords all the time. You need access to the email account.

But also you can't have it account created at your own email too as long you won't create own family.

    Still available.

I was wondering why the picture quality was so poor on my PC.

Desktop & Browser Limits: If you are watching on a PC or Mac, Disney+ heavily restricts streaming resolution to 720p or 1080p in most web browsers to prevent illegal screen-recording. For 4K UHD, you usually need a certified Smart TV or
    streaming device.

That's crazy. You can capture video from anyanything with HDMI output.

Thankfully, unlike the likes of sky, Disney (& Netflix) allow you cancel at anytime without any penalty. It continues to the end of your payment already made, but no further. It literally is 3 clicks (and sometimes they make you an offer to stay)
