I hate that this then ends 2 days after Xmas when you actually have a bit of time to watch the telly

Presume it's on purpose so you keep the sub going

yes it’s hoping you’ll forget and be distracted and let it carry on . For 3 a month it’s nearly worth it but not a tenner. Now can watch only murders on regulated tv, though all the time I had the previous offer it kept kicking me out saying I wasn’t at home. Contacted chat and was told by one lad I had a years free subscription, was delighted but sure enough it wasn’t true, just got a month that I was charged full price for. Got back on and they gave us a month free, even though it wasn’t useable for the last four months before .

I let my sub lapse a while ago and just re-subbed. Seems they removed the option to pay with your phone credit on Google Play now! Annoying as my 3 credit keeps expiring

A little off topic but I see a lot of people are cancelling Disney Plus & Hulu in the us because parent company took Jimmy Kimmel off the air. If the movement grows legs we might see price decreases or better offers

Cant see it impacting subscriber numbers outside of the US. I wouldnt be holding my breath…

    General opinions sought.

Is there enough interesting grown up content on Disney+? I mean not kiddie centric stuff, Star Wars, or super heroes stuff. I'm a Netflix user and am just wondering if the €2.99 per month for 3 months is even worth trying.

Personally, given how spineless and cowardly Disney is now, I wouldn't give them a penny. The only way to treat these corporations is to avoid them. If enough people do this they might listen to their customers rather than their insatiable shareholders.

Iits worth getting at that discount but the content is nowhere near as good as Netflix in my opinion

Agree with that. There is definitely a reasonably wide range of content, theres just no depth to it though, unless your into Starwars or Disney.

Hard to say if its worth it unless you know someones individual interests, but at that price, I would definately get 3 months viewership out of it. Have it because of the kids, but have enjoyed recently The Bear, Say Nothing, Only Murders in the Building, Welcome to Wrexham, Adults and Deadpool series.

Signed up there, would usually get it for the month of December every year so this way it'll cost €9 and can have it from now up until December 27. Will I actually use it? Probably not much but €9 will barely get you a pint these days.

Would have paid a bit extra for the 4K sub but not 3 times the price of 1080p.

I got the 1080 sub and the picture quality is superb

I've a 75" TV in one room. I signed up for the last cheap 1080p offer Disney had when Andor was out and I had to pirate the 4K version as it looked a bit soft for my liking.

Yeah I'd agree. A good lot of Disney content is only in HD so probably not missing out on much, whereas I would find with Netflix and Apple TV, most recent titles now are broadcast in 4K

Another price increase is in effect. The standard plan is going from €9.99 to €10.99 and the Premium one from €13.99 to €15.99. Mad money altogether. It's barely worth watching paying €2.99!

Microsoft have just increased their gamepass sub by 50%, Google lobbed 40% onto YouTube premium at the end of last year. These companies have lost the plot, the price of absolutely everything shooting up and wages not budging.

To think they were so close to beating the pirates and then they got greedy

Yep. Torrenting (Especially of TV/Movies) probably cratered for years when Netflix and Prime took off. Now there are so many and they are so expensive that it's GOT to be climbing again.
