The most annoying An Post email update is this one…

We will attempt to deliver your Amazon item AZ XXXXXXXXX IE today.

Always reads to me as we'll make a half arsed attempt to deliver you. Whats wrong with being a bit more positive?

Whats the worst anyone has had for a tracked item to be stuck with An Post?

I'm waiting on a part from Germany that arrived with An Post in Dublin on the 23rd May now 2nd June.

Edit> Turns out Customs charges are due - thanks An Post for not bothering to tell me. Thanks again to An Post for having a crappy website that won't allow me to pay the customs charges because the service is down 🙄

Called the number I was given for Customs and they claim the item was sent from UK to Germany so it would look like it had been sent from Germany and because the description wasn't descriptive enough they sent it back? It was spare parts for a drill and labeled "spare parts". Loads of holes in their argument but no point arguing.
