What an insane rainfall radar. The midlands is under that somewhere!

We got a fair old hosing in Limk City about an hour ago. Was expecting a few rattles of thunder but didn't hear any. Wind has picked up recently. 10c now which is relatively mild.

Lightning and squally blustery showers near Tralee, my wife said small branches and twigs down on the roads on the way into to town.

Power out for an hour, then sun, then lighter rain, then cloudy, now drizzle again. Just spring in West Kerry. Herself pointed out in the last 10 years, the frequency of thunderstorms in our area seems to have gone up. Several a year now, easiliy, vs. none 10 years ago. Anecdotes aren't data, of course.

Heavy rain and just had a crack of thunder here in Dublin 18, caught the flash in the corner of my eye but didn’t think it was lightning until the bang a few seconds later.

Meteologix recorded a 324KA Wild House shaker at 12.07 near Partry.

I could hear it clearly above the TV nearly 20 miles away in Headford. Must have been a whopper…
