Update.. called the couriers today to see what is happening. They actually called me back and apologized for the delay and put me down for a first thing delivery tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it, but the signs are good.

Don't know if I'm more excited about the trip to Australia/NZ or this delivery (that's a lie, it's definitely the delivery!!)

Hope you got yours in time…
Mine arrived yesterday. All good but a few small things that were a bit of an annoyance.
Some on part of the whoever packed it and some on Winspace side.
I provided them feedback on this and in fairness they got back pretty fast and are gonna sort it out

    1. M5 Hex Barrel nut for one of stem bolts was missing (the bolt part was rolling around bottom of box)
I'm using a very temp bodge with a standard m5 bolt and nut
    2. The computer mount is unusable (lump of carbon blocking one of the guide holes - and the other hole a bit shite too) - surprised this escaped their QC…
** update: I sorted this ok - see end of post **
    3. Packing was ok - but pretty "cheap" for such a high end China frame.. Old cardboard boxes used to stop movement of frame inside and not a huge amount of padding or anything - just enough Anyway it did the job which is main thing.
    4. Will need to get brakes swapped to L=Rear R=Front. It has opposite.
Guess I should have sent them mail on this ( in their reply this morning they said they can accommodate that if you send mail in advance)..
    5. No spare spokes - in their reply the said they stopped providing spare carbon spokes 2 years ago to "reduce carbon emissions from over production"….ahem yeah ok…
    6. Missing spare fork dampening stickers - yeah that annoying deal breaker thing for some people.
For me it's ok - but annoying to not have these….They're gonna send them out tho.

Most of stuff above seems to lie with their Euro Warehouse / whoever packs the bike….
    Anyway here's some pix…

Not sure how accurate my luggage scales are but initial weight avgs around 6.9 kg
( w/o pedals or bottle cages or mount )
size M380mm bars 115 stem length
    Hyper5 Butterfly Weave 60/60mm
    DuraAce Di2 9200 52/36 11/34
Came with GP 5000's 28mm - presume they are butyl tubes in there didn't check yet.
Obvs I'll replace them with TPU's / change out tyres to GP 5000 STR tubeless.
** update : they were buytl tubes which weighed 108g each.
I replaced 'em with these TPUs I had in storage 32g each
    - they have 80mm metal valve and replaceable valve core - gonna try maybe putting some sealant in those - it works apparently..Easy 152g saving right there!
Brand is "Off Bondage" from AliExpress - they love weird brand names ****

    image.png

I stuck the zero offset seatpost on which i got a couple of weeks ago
    ( that's 100g - offset one is 110 g)
Will get fork steerer cut by about 25mm maybe and get brake levers swapped around
…whilst waiting for weather to improve in parallel

I'll swap out the Selle Italia 145mm saddle also which is 208g to a lighter RYET 3D printed one.
Speaking of 3D printing - I also designed and printed a Garmin varia mount for it using the seatpost I got a few weeks ago.
Fits perfect. I might do a temp one for the computer mount also in the interim as one sent is unusable.

    image.png image.png

    image.png

Accessory box was a bit sparse, but ok

    image.png

Computer mount shite - one the holes in mount you see in above pic - bolt won't go thru to attach to bars
**Update ** I sorted this out by poking a hex lever through and twisting - the offending bits snapped off no probs and attached mount to bars ok 😊

Frame is perfect tho, will see how resilient it is to paint chips over time though :|

Arrived on Tuesday, within the 10 days quoted at checkout. Extremely well thought out packaging, and very easy to finish assembly!

Looking forward to getting it on the turbo in the next week or two to dial in my fit!

Perhaps it was foolish of me, but I decided to take advantage of the discount on the Wahoo Kickr Core 2 with Zwift Cog and Click.

I'm not sure whether I should bring it to my girlfriend's house so I can use it occasionally when I'm with her, or sell my Stages SB 20 Smartbike and use the Kickr with my new bike.

My bike was delivered the day I left for the airport - about 2 hours after I'd left - but I'd arranged for a neighbor to take it in.

Just got back yesterday and put it all together today. First impressions are that this is a way better bike than I need, but it looks savage. The clamp for the battery in the seat post was a bit of a faff to get right, and the seat post clamp was similar, but it didn't help that I wasn't using my stand as with the bike tipped fully forward the clamp was easy to sort out. Only issue so far is the plug for the hole where the seatpost clamp bolt is accessed is too small so I fitted it reversed for now and once I'm happy with the height I'll just tape over the hole with a piece of clear erosion tape. Might replace the tan wall tyres, and definitely fit TPU tubes

I'll take and post some pictures once I get everything finished

Upgrading my brakes and gears - Shimano XT BR-M8120 (4 piston) and Di2 8250 kits I'm hoping will arrive by the weekend. I was going to get a LBS to do the lot but got some very good prices online and figured I'd give the installation a go myself. The only complicated part I imagine will be the removal of both rear cables and routing-in for the back brakes as it's an eBike and I've heard some nasty stories about how the cables can be non-linearly routed around the batteries/motors and a pain to get through smoothly.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 26,776 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

If you can stick some twine to the ones you are pulling out, then use that twine to help route the new cables through. Gentle pull as you push the new ones in worked for me but it can detach easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,237 ✭✭✭_CreeD_

Aye my intention was to try and keep the old and new connected somehow to let removing one pull the other in but I've read a few forum threads on similar bikes where the rear running cables end up looped in the battery frames and so on. Fingers crossed it'll be an easy pull.

good sticky insulating tape, butt eh new and old cable / hose up against each and tape snugly but not too many wraps. Pull gently on one end wily pushing the other. Worked for very well, but not on an ebike.

One of these arriving today. Seems like super value - looking forward to getting to grips with the navigation functions.

Don’t use insulation tape. Use good quality string. There is a loop knot that will tighten as you pull if you google it

Had to buy a new pair of SPD SL cleats, accidentally got two pairs and a new pair of shoes.

And same item getting returned today. Won't pair with my phone so back it goes. Nice unit for the money though, if it worked!

used it for the first time at weekend on club spin - only for heart rate etc and happy so far
