Stafford under massive pressure almost every play now and he ain’t enjoying it!

Yeah even with that complete nonsense roughness call to give them a shot at an underserved touchdown they still were able to shut him out. That was the best defensive performance we've had all year, hopefully they can keep it going. Offense will find a way if they do.

Looks like another nerve shredder is in store over the next 90 minutes for us - let’s go BEARS!

I do wonder sometimes what all these ex cowboys have against us. Aikman and Garrett seem physically incapable of ever giving us any credit for anything. Did we interview Garrett for head coach at some point?

Williams was determined to throw an int on that series. There was a much better option to his left that he didn't even look to

He’s enjoying watching the Defense so much he wanted them back on the field extra quick. Kyler Gordon looks fully back this week

Yeah we're looking savage on defense now. No excuses, this is a game the offense needs to go out and win, theres no reason they shouldn't do it if they can cut out the stupid drops and mistakes

Alright Williams you obviously don't like playing when we're winning or level so now go do your thing!

Can't believe they waited until fourth down to try a pass.

That is completely nuts - what a play. Rams hopefully a bit shellshocked and we get this wrapped up shortly. I need some sleep!

Shocking decision to go for such a big play when you only needed eight yards and had the downs, and all you need is a field goal. Crazy.

Ah well. We gave it a good rattle and we made it further than anyone expected. You'd regret the last interception of course. But what an amazing season, and it's really transformed the mood of the city as well.

I'm always skeptical of the "we'll be back next year" stuff: playoffs are hard to come by and they're for winning now, not for growth or the future. No guarantees next year with our division being so hard.

But whatever, this has been a completely amazing season, the best craic I've ever had following this team. Broke the Packers hoodoo with a historic win that will be remembered by bears fans long after today's result is a hazy memory. And surely nobody can really doubt what Williams is shaping up to become.

DJ has been half assing routes when he's not the first read for 3 years and him half assing it on that deep crosser that was intercepted might fittingly be his last snap as a Bear if they can find a trade partner. No way Ben Johnson will put up with that.

That season might go down as my favourite when I look back at it later on. Absolute cinema most weeks and hopefully this is just the start.

Yeah moore fucked up on that route but I really didn't get why we were throwing a high risk pass at that moment anyway. Had the downs and the field position and only needed a field goal. Could have been more patient I think

Absolute joke we weren't given those two 3rd round comp picks for Cunningham getting the Falcons GM job.

Is there an actual system for now those are allocated or do they just make it up as they go along?

Rooney Rule says you're supposed to get two 3rds when someone is hired to be another team's GM. The league's view here is that it doesn't apply because he's not going to be their "primary football executive" as GMs tend to be. The league says Matt Ryan will be the Falcons' primary football executive in his role as head of football operations.

That's despite Ryan saying stuff like this:

The general manager role is going to be exactly the same as what it's been here before," Ryan said. "That's something we've made clear to everybody on the coaching side that we've met with up until this point, and we'll make clear through that process to the general managers that we're going to look at in that process as well."

“Ian is driving this boat and he is the one that’s leading us moving forward,” Ryan explained last week. “…Ian is incredibly competent and qualified and he’s awesome,” Ryan added. “Looking forward to watching him do his thing… I also understand my responsibility is to be there to help out Ian where I can. Maybe that’s offering a different lens, offering a different perspective, but this is Ian’s regular season right now. He is in it and he is driving the ship for us.”

We were screwed basically, as Mike Florio pointed out a few weeks ago comparing it to a previous case:

Here’s where it gets confusing. When the Falcons hired Fontenot to be the G.M. in 2022, the Saints (Fontenot’s former employer) received the compensatory picks. But Rich McKay was the team president and CEO — and as of 2022 he was involved in football operations.
