they do everything bad teams do - thought that line in commentary said it all.

That was so bad. Only positive I can think of is that ticket prices will be very affordable in a few months if I fancy a trip to Soldier Field

Only trip I'll be making to soldier is for the rugby in November. I'm going to watch us play the Packers in lambeau in December and that is already starting to look like a penance rather than a fun day out.

Love that we gave Poles a new contract in July despite him having accomplished nothing and still having 2 years left on his existing deal. That decision now means we will likely repeat the cycle of having a GM in the job 12-24 months longer than they deserve to be.

4 drafts into his reign and our only elite defensive talent remains JJ, who was a Pace pick. We've got zero depth, which is why when JJ and one or two others are not on the field a team like the Lions put up 50.

Early returns on his latest draft class have been shocking after having 4 picks in the top 65. Loveland (pick 10) had 1 target yesterday, Burden (pick 39) only made his first reception in garbage time, Trapilo (pick 56) and Turner (pick 62) were both healthy scratches. Trapilo is the only lineman taken in the first 2 rounds to not play yet this season. I am once again asking how a former o-lineman can be this bad at building the trenches.

I'll be a last minute decision on the rugby, but was there in 2016.It'll be a great day out. Lambeau in December is probably one of the more unique experiences in the NFL, bring plenty of layers!

    HOW BOUT THEM BEARS?!

I know they've played two bad teams in a row so I don't want to go crazy over stating anything. But what I looked most today was the attitude change. Last year, and I'm the first two games this year, when things went wrong in a game they just completely lost their composure and collapsed. This win was bigger than last week because it felt at certain times like everything was going wrong, but they recovered. Especially Williams, but also Johnson who actually adjusted when we were being hammered by Crosby. Eberflus and Waldron would have stayed looking at that crap all day.

Early doors it looked like real traditional bears: defense doing amazing things and the offense flubbing it until the d get tired and overrun. And man they were great, especially byard who came up with THREE massive plays today. But I'm just delighted the offense could get it done when things weren't going right. O line actually weren't too bad, benedet did very well.

Realism though: our run game is septic and teams know it. Not sure what we can do to fix that. More realism: the raiders aren't good and looking at the cowboys right now they're not good either. But our schedule the next few weeks is as forgiving as it gets in the NFL. Considering two weeks ago I was ready to give it up, it's nice to see us still in the hunt right now.

They don't differentiate pretty and ugly wins in the w-L record, and last year we would definitely have lost this. You'd have to be happy. Did I believe we were going to win when they were lining up for that field goal? Hell no. Somtimes good things happen too

I agree - it feels like previous years the pressure Crosby was putting on would have made the offense fold (what a stud that guy is…) but to tough it out was impressive. I still don't know where we stand, the Cowboys that were terrible against us damn nearly beat the Packers…

I do think we are in a tough situation in terms of NFC north being stacked (not so much Vikings right now but they're still no pushover probably still in the top 15/20 teams in NFL)

    DAAAAAA BEEEEEEARRSSSSSSSSSS.

Still a nerve wracking team to watch and they aren't exactly setting these lower level teams alight, but they're finding ways to win and be resilient when it's going against them, and Caleb Williams is looking more and more like the man. Had a great end to the game today, and ones like he was always confident he could make any throw. Delighted he got the TD as well. Would have been an even better game if zaccheus hadn't dropped a few really nice throws. Defense made some mistakes but they always seem capable of stepping up and making a huge play.

Hopefully the results in the lions and Packers games fall our way and we can go top. Fun times the last few weeks, and a chance next week to get a first divisional win, which is going to be crucial. Haven't felt this good about watching bears games since 2018

Jeez they're not an easy watch but somehow getting it done! Zaccheaus must've dropped four catchable throws that could've changed the course of the game. Rushing game non existent this evening.

Swift had some nice moments in fairness but overall not a great running day. More worrying is how bad we were against their run. Watching the lions right now and think they'll punish us big time if we don't fix the issues there.

Dart going off injured changed the game (well that and the huge bet the Giants kicker must have placed on a Bears win).

Dart was moving the ball up the field like a hot knife through butter, his fumble and subsequent injury was the turning point in the game. Williams grabbed that game by the scruff of the neck down the home stretch, brilliant from him.

It certainly ain’t pretty but you can’t deny it’s not half entertaining every week!
