A controversial opinion I'm sure, but I think someone who literally got away with murder, should STFU.

Not to derail the thread. But as much as I think this kid is an absolute hard rightwing shithead and he was there to play hero I believe fully that his trial result was the correct one. In each and every instance where he shot someone it's reasonable to assume that he was in fear for his life.

And I followed the trial quite closely.

But he was to the side when he shot. He wasn't in any danger. He wasn't in any danger at all when he shot her. No-one was in any danger.

For those that are interested, the New York Times did an investigation into a particular ICE raid in California.

This came to mind because one of the people affected by it was driving when an ICE car swerved in front of them and they were accused of driving into the ICE car.

Another guy was clipped by them. His wing mirror was broken. He stayed to get their insurance info. Apparently, that's interfering with ICE.

At this point ICE aren't a law enforcement agency. They're closer to a paramilitary group. They're guys with a racist agenda, who are barely trained, who are sent out with guns to enforce the policy of a racist government.

I think this is the problem when people talk about the rules of law; this administration doesn't care and will do anything to find any loophole in the law to skirt it. We see it in their tariffs, by sending in troops to various cities and their foreign actions, they dont live by the principles behind the laws and manage to avoid any Congressional or judicial oversight.

Unfortunately it's running the political equivalent of Vista
