Anyone order from Cycplus before? How long did they take before they posted your order? Their order site is a bit lacking in information in regards where in the process an order is

More for off the bike than on, a new Galibier merino winter beanie as my old one has gone missing. Just the most comfortable and cosiest piece of headwear for chilly weather

Lovely got 12 speed di2 on my road bike, absolutely love it, and the 12 speed GRX on my cross bike, I never understood the love for it until I had it.

Scored a sram force power meter from Woest bikes, that NL place that had the cheap Cannondale supersix Evo hms. Unboxed but new and unused. I'll forgoe the box for the saving. It's 720 rrp. Bikediscount had it for 429 and I got it for 365!

Hopefully it's the goddayum motherfuppin right flippin one this time!!!!

It is! You took the 172.5 from me! Still a 175 in stock.

It's okay I'm leanng to the Force E1 to be all matchy matchy or a Red to save some weight.

This Sram Red Crankset is a steal at €319, too long for me though at 175

    😁😁

No I didn't gazump you, I swear! Mine is without the crank. It's the D2 power upgrade as they call it. 2 chainrings and the power spider.

Yeah. Seems to be impossible sell 175s now with everyone going all Podgy

Which is silly really, as that quarter of a centimetre would be impossible to notice/detect for 99% of riders.

I ordered one also 27th November Black Friday deal on complete bike

with an additional 10% off on top of that from YouTuber cyclistshub
extra $200 upgrading to Lún Hyper 60 wheels (butterfly weave)
    Paint job : Mirage
    Size M.
Hyper integrated bar 115 stem, 38 cm width
Well under €5K. Saved probably €2k.

I also ordered separately a zero offset seatpost €80 (not advertised on their site - but you can get them if you email).
Haven't got the bike yet - but it is apparently arriving this week with their EU distributor to be built and sent. No additional taxes / duties.

I have an S-Works Tarmac 52 and geo matches close enough.

Interesting….and nice. That will get some attention out on the road alright. I've been hovering over their C5 Aero for a few months - really strong value there.

This never arrived at all. Just clicked option to re-ship.

Did you receive any notifications from them? I'm emailing them next to see what's going on with my bike as I'll be away all of February so don't want it to be delivered then!

I went for a complete bike as well, 50mm wheel upgrade and also got an extra 10% off. Always wanted a white colored bike, so went for their arctic white finish.

Just arrived. Everything looks pretty clean, even got a seatpost when I didn't click the option for one 💁‍♂️ Gonna throw the old 105 groupset on and when I have some funds i'd like to try 1x, either Wheeltops or Shimanos…

    €340 after discounts and customs.

I didn't get any notifications at all, so sent them a mail a week ago enquiring and this is the reply I got :

"Shipped out to the agent already. And will take about 7-10 days to arrive the agent.
When he received the parcels, will build it and make your shipment asap."

The only other non-shipment related comms I got after purchase was that they couldn't fulfill the DuraAce 165mm cranks
( and they wouldn't be getting any more in stock) - that was the only option on that build on checkout.
They asked if 170mm cranks would be ok. I said yeah - wasn't too pushed.
I'm ok with 170 which is what I currently have, but think 165mm might suit better for me, but no big deal.

The Arctic White finish will look great - really clean….if you keep it clean ;)
I've had a white bike before and have a matte black currently, so went for colourful this time

I had pretty much the same experience, with a similar reply to my query. I also got a second choice of cranks (170 instead of 172.5) and like you, was happy enough. My only concern is they might deliver when I'm away in Feb, but they said they can deliver it when I'm back - I won't be using it until the weather improves anyway…

yeah that makes sense they should be able to hold off shipment for a couple of weeks..

btw the zero offset seatpost I ordered separately
according to tracking number - it was sent and cleared Irish customs on Dec 22nd.
    Still no sign of it.
There is an An Post tracking number also - but they said it hasn't been handed over to them yet
    Have contacted Winspace about it.
Hopefully not a similar experience with full bike..

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 26,776 Mod ✭✭✭✭CramCycle

Simular happened to something I ordered from Cycplus. I suspect it's in a large consignment that was deemed low priority by An Post (at least I hope) and it will start moving very soon. It was with a random consignment shipper and only handed over to An Post awhile after it cleared customs. But no movement, about a week later it appeared on An Post but with a different number that was not obvious. It's been sorted for shipping since the 27th.

Already been delivered but just put it together tonight - table for turbo trainer. Good quality finish on this. Had been considering making one myself but took the easier option.

Where does your fan go looking at the table position?

My set up has a large floor fan and while i'd love a table it would impact the effect of the fan sadly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 997 ✭✭✭gn3dr

I don't use a fan. Located out in a cold shed so no need. The table is height adjustable so I would say you could adjust so that the fan blew ander it onto you

new gloves - still on the search for a good winter MTB glove. my old BBB winterstop gloves are the business on the road but with no padding in the palms they fall a bit short off road. A pair of endura waterproof ones on the way to try out.

Just purchased Lake Winter Shoes, sick of wet feet on the bike. I've tried various shoe covers and nothing worked, hopefully these will fit properly and keep out the water.

Interested to see what you think of them.

Are they the shoes or the boots? I bought the shoes this winter (MXZ176 I think). Got both the road and mtb versions. I've only used them a handful of times. They are great for the cold (although I haven't tried below about 3 degrees yet), but on one particularly muddy and rainy gravel ride they did fill up with water, mainly running down my legs.

Sizing is also very odd, I wear 43 in Lake normal shoes for many years, I had to send back the 44 winter show as it was even smaller than that, and my foot felt really packed in with a winter sock so definitely wouldn't have been good for circulation. The insulation seems to be inside the normal shoe size. Had to go to a 45 which I've never worn in any type of shoe (I'm a 42 in work shoes, 42.5 or 43 in runners). 44.5 probably would have been best for me but they don't do half sizes in this model.

Overall I'm happy with them (I got both pairs very cheap). I have winter boots but I'm not a big fan of the bulk, and I don't like overshoes at all. Normally I stick to my normal Lake summer shoes with a Galibier winter sock and toe cover for as much of the year as possible, but these give me a great intermediate option. I don't think they will be great for rain, but to be honest I don't ride in rain too much. For any ride where it looks like it will be wet I will stick to my winter boots & leg gaiter which is the best solution I have found so far
