That could still mean they will advertise for a new panel like they did around this time last year given how long it takes to go through the stages?

Hey All - anyone attached to batch 1.6 get word on interview results yet or when to expect them? Interviews were held the week of the 3rd of Nov and going by the messages here, the week of the 10th also. I’m guessing too soon to get a response this week from PAS re results!? Thnx

It's normally about a week after the final interview.

Congrats… I was asking for a friend, so glad they are sticking to that 1-2 week max to announce. I’ve hated the wait myself, and when its good news it does make the ould weekend! The “clearance” will happen when you are being taken from the list to fill a vacancy. So if they have already agreed that the first 5 are to be assigned straight away, either for exceptional needs and/or they may have an agreement with a dedicated department or agency in need of a couple of APs off the top straight away! My AP comp, back 4-5 years ago, the first two off my panel were assigned to a dedicated Department straight away.

And if anyone gets wind of the size of the panel, please do drop the info here. It’s always a good guide to the movement/timeline of assignments, and it was great to hear that PAS are extending these competition panels till March 2026. I know for a fact, within my ow organisation and other departments, there is huge movement of APs caused by the most recent PO comp and retirements! There has been a huge number of retirements across the civil service and it because we are reaching (reached) the 40 year mark since the 80’s recruitment!

If you scroll back to comment 1080… they user flagged the following for batch 1.5… “PAS have stated to me that The Open stream for batch 1.5 has 25 candidates, and the Interdepartmental stream has 21.”. And that sounds about right as they seem to doing interview blocks of 2 weeks, possible interviewing 50-60 candidates, pulling together manageable panels to mitigate successful interview candidates being left on panels when the competition closes - and good news for candidates, there was a mention earlier that correspondence issued from PAS stating an extension of this competition till March 2026.

No, still waiting for an update and I'm tail end of 1.4. Last I heard about a week ago, there were 2 ahead of me.

I just emailed them again now for an update.

Ok, thanks. I emailed yesterday morning to check and still nothing back from them. That is a bit unusual as they have always replied quite quickly.

Still some ahead or me for clearance, so still a handful in batch 1.4 to go through, I think.

I asked them about this previously, and they said batch 1.4 open will be completed before batch 1.5 open commences. Batch 1.5 inter has started though. So unless some people pulled out of the 1.5 open themselves to get taken off, I'm not sure.

Crazy that everyone is getting different figures. Have heard 7, 8 and 9 off interdpart.

Maybe whoever was called in 1.5 was done before last Friday.

And for the people hearing different numbers gone its probably people contacting PAS on different days. For example my update was from 18 Nov. Could have been another person put through 19th etc.

why are you emailing them weekly? Youll hear when you hear!

Being impatient and condescending are not values that are congruent with AP management. These are skills I would try and focus on if I were you.

Emailing them weekly is pointless. Just wait and get on with your life.
