Shirley it’s only Brits who should get upset as you appear to be- what does it matter to you?

Im wondering if removing his titles - which in some cases will require an Act of Parliament - will open him up to potential prosecution.

It's a fair point. There nothing in the Guiffre book that we didn't know years ago. The only new development is the emails to Epstein which are pretty damning.

Either the palace know something big is coming that we don't know about or they've just decided that now is the time to amputate the infected limb for their own health going forward.

Either way referring to victims of abuse in yesterday's statement rings hollow given they paid off a victim of abuse to shut up about it years ago and left Andrew to play Call of Duty in an opulent existence at tax payers expense.

The mother paid the £12m to the women he'd never ever met for something he'd never ever did (to the tune of the Grand Old Duke Of York); to protect her favourite son and hope it'd blow over.

I think Charles does actually care a bit more, but not enough to tell him to hand himself in to the Met and admit it or anything.

He is forgotten outside of Ireland. The general British public have moved on to many other shocking moments in history years ago.

We made a big deal of Elizabeth Windsor meeting Martin McGuinness but the English didn't give a fuk.

He’s now a private citizen - so very possibly -I think thats one of many reasons his “princeship” was taken away- if in the very possible even he’s criminally prosecuted, he’s just a normal bloke- nothing to do with the RF, and no protections to hide behind

Is there any actual evidence against him. Apart from being best buds with a pedo and a pimp what would put him in prison?

The headline writer deserves a very big bonus - up there with the one who dreamed up the Lettuce

I think Charles is getting that awful grey, gaunt look that people who really aren’t well get. Himself and Camilla have teared up so much at so many events that I think he knows his time is limited.

    Who owns Sandringham Estate?

Should Charles succumb to his cancer would William automatically inherit the estate? If so I could see William evicting him.

Charles owns it, personally rather than as an asset of the crown estate.

William will almost certainly inherit it. For obvious reasons, there's a very strong culture in that family of leaving everything to the Eldest Boy.

But I doubt that William will evict Andrew. I'd imagine this approach to handling The Problem was agreed between Charles and William, and the reason for doing it now is to try and lay this matter permanently to rest so that when William inherits the family business it isn't still disfigured by continuing controversy about Andrew.

No. His titles, as such, never protected him; his status and connections probably did, and even now would probably provide him with some degree of protection.

But even if he had none of that, I doubt that he will be prosecuted. The principal witness, Giuffre, is dead. Without her to testify that Andrew had sex with her, it's hard to see how any prosecution could succeed.

People who know more than me say, that Harry was never awarded his wings. There are many things in his biography that make no sense. Harry is never actually pictured in the pilots seat flying. There are nasty nicknames fly around the internet like "bunker harry" suggesting he was never allowed off the ground in Afghanistan. The only action he ever saw in Baghram was chasing tail. A few instructors have claimed "that **** never happened" or that is not technically possible.

That is a very dangerous position for Buckingham palace to take. I think anything that Andrew did in the company of Epstien considering how many times they met pales in comparison to Charles familarity with Saville. Saville was just a garden variety nonce for his masters, but Epstien knew what he was doing for who.

Oh definitely. I definitely think Epstein was a front for something much bigger. I reckon he has dirt on everyone. Mostly from the business world the same way that Diddy had the entertainment world sewn up.

And he had a few years sea duties. He rose to Lieutant Commander. So he commanded a mid sized ship as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,002 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Except there is no indication that Saville was "gifting" his victims to other people or using his position tk facilitate other peoples perversions.

    Totally different situation.

I think it was a personal thing between Charles and Andrew. Charles was always an academic dope, washed out officer and timid person. Andrew on the otherhand was proper officer material, technically capable and a go getter.

If the Queen had her choice she would have picked Andrew over Charles as monarch. Charles is not a more capable person than Andrew. Charles hung around with Saville which means you dont lie down with dogs without picking up fleas. Surely the Crown Protection Service from MI5 , would have warned Charles that Saville was bad company.

Beg to differ. There are loads of reports of Charles, Harry and Edward being crap. You only have to look at how Charles fills a uniform. Harrys military career is pure fiction and Edward didnt even qualify in the Royal marines, washed out of traing by all accounts.

who are these “people” who say that? He was awarded his wings by his old man, publicly iirc.
It’s hardly surprising there no photos of him mid flight. Not really an easy snap for the Daily Mail to take. Plenty on them on the ground fwiw.

This is where my problem is, is there enough evidence to convict Andrew beyond doubt? I havent seen any. The word is "convict", because it has to be solid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,782 ✭✭✭SupaCat95

I disagree. Savilles own nehews have said he was farming them out to other people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,743 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

Saville was a pedo operating in secret. Any interaction he had with Charles was probably about charity work or some other con.

Epstein procure underage children for pedos like Andy. Equating the two is crazy.

Photographs with his accuser. His lies about the situation. The fact he paid $12m in a lawsuit settlement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,782 ✭✭✭SupaCat95

Yes his provisional wings. It was one of his instructor on a pod cast if I recall on Andrew Gold. Any photos I have seen him with wings are jump wings not pilot wings. Seriously they are not going to give control of a multi million pound Apache to a guy who was a dunce in school.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,782 ✭✭✭SupaCat95

Nah they were the same. It was open secret that Saville was an nonce. MI5, Crown Protection Service, regular police, social services knew, even my father knew. Diana said Saville would give her the creeps and she wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed. Charles told the Glouster police commissioner off for harassing this charitible citizen and fine man.

Nobody ever get to meet to meet a member of the royal family without loads of vetting. Everyone knew what Savilles business was, even in the BBC. "Hang the DJ"

Nothing there that would even get you arrested, nevermind convicted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,743 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

I think he was a Co-pilot/Gunner. No idea if that affects the “wings”.
I know pilots would generally be the cream of the crop. But let’s not pretend the military is made of if geniuses.
Of course he got preferential selection.

It doesnt sit well with me either. The gunner has to be a qualified pilot first before he does gunners course. He may need to take control of the helicopter. Without a doubt he got on that course by order of buckingham palace, ie his gran wrote him a note. I seriously doubt he cpuld get into the bicycle corps with a nod. His school results are astoundingly bad.

Wings, there are different wings for different things. Sames as L plates you have different ones for flight school. You have different wings for jump school with parachutes.

Dont be so harsh on the military, the great thing is there is a place to hide everyone. Remember you have avionics, nuclear technicans and engineers, meterologists, electricans, and loads of interesting stuff. Many young men join up on the exuberance of youth and patriotism. You quickly learn its not all its made out to be.

Ah come on....these are modern Royals. They've grown up with a silver spoon in their mouths, never had to want for anything. Loved the life of Royals. There's absolutely no qualifications or competencies these people have or develop that would make them good soldiers. They've never struggled for anything, never had to work for anything and have been cushioned from the realities of the real world.
