    I read it was to reduce heat and glare on the 350 but apparently it also turned out to do a similar job on the 330neo. Many 747s used to have similar black around the cockpit in the 70s for glare.

    Might make for a more comfortable ride for pilots considering the length of flights the 321 makes, particularly the XLR's. It's the pennies that matter more though I guess.

    Maybe they don't want to make an easy differentiator for punters to go "oh we're on one of the older planes".
