Flew to ORD on Sunday 21st and it was almost a full flight and returned via LAX on Tuesday 30th and flight was maybe half full. I got a full row of 4 seats to myself which was nice but don't think I'll be doing a 10+hour flight again anytime soon.

Dublin was a disaster due to everything that was going on with cyber attacks etc, 2 hours in queue for checked bags which then went missing but thankfully 1 of 2 bags showed up at my home in Galway the day I was flying home!

LAX in the Tom Bradley terminal was a breeze, through TSA in around 5 minutes into a lovely clean and modern building with plenty of shopping and dining options as well as a great outdoor smoking area where you can watch flights landing and departing.

Cork has had the odd flight to the US every now and then. I recall Boston to Cork once, and then I think Norvegian had a US flight at some point as well? Possibly to Rhode Island? Or somewhere in that part of the US.

It's about time the codeshare went the other way. While Aer Lingus may never fly east, at least in a significant capacity, it would be nice to have a strong and consistent partner in that market at last. Qatar fits the bill with its DOH hub, flights to Dublin and significant operation at Heathrow.
