When you relax on a Saturday night with a few cans stick a movie on and within an hour you realise it's complete shite.

wtf is it with these and disappearing into the ether / just getting taken by people that lose theirs ? Few months back I bought 4 boxes of various USB types I use. Had to hide em on a shelf behind some box sets. Not like they are hard to acquire.. supermarkets, phone shops, corner shops, petrol stations, home wear suppliers. Practically anyone can walk from their front door to a place selling them.

My TA….I’ve a weirdish cold. no temperature, no cough / respiratory or other usual symptoms aside from regularly sneezing semi violently… and blocked ears which this afternoon have cleared bout 10 minutes ago following a prolonged sneezing fit …. 🥲

Sounds like allergies. Even if you've never been allergic to anything until now, you can develop them as you go along.

Its a good day for TA's.

Just left some glowing reviews for some stuff from Temu. Also left a couple of shockers.

What TAed me is that if you don't specifically leave a review for an item but leave a review for another from the same order Temu automatically give the ones you didn't review 5 bloody stars.

Lesson learnt, woe betide any sellers that aren't worth 5 stars in future as your stuff will get a retaliatory 1 star - /pointless waves fist at passing clouds.

Wake me up when it's all over.

    A twofor TA for me.

I order a takeaway maybe once a year if that, and last night I decided it was the time to take a punt. Fancied a Chinese but every single takeaway in the town seemed to only be providing delivery by just eat or that kind of company. Dagnabbbit I just want to ring the Chinese directly and order, like the good old days. Didn't seem to be an option anywhere.

In the end, I ordered pizza which I know is the most overpriced of all takeaway, but hadn't had one in yonks. Got delivery and the pizza was the scaldiest yoke I've ever seen. It honestly looked like they'd taken a ruler out to measure the space between toppings, on fear of death if two pieces of ham were too close to each other. The pizza had eight slices and each slice had one tiny piece of ham on it, and one tiny piece of pineapple. (please don't hate me for the pineapple)

For the prices they charge, they sure don't go out of their way to impress customers.

I may try again sometime next year, but right now I'm not feeling the love.

Every company going is making a packet selling your info to data miners and you can't even cut out the middle man and sell it to them yourself. They want you to do surveys and give it to them for free!

Tinder matched with a guy, his profile said he was 5'7, im 5'5. We met up and I was taller than he was. Wont see him again, not because he's short but because he's either delusional about his own height or straight up lied. Obviously there were other reasons I wont see him again but this was the first red flag. Why do men lie about their height? Dates will go much better for you if you avoid lying straight off the bat, doesnt take a rocket scientist.

Sky Sports continually thinking that people watching games want to endure Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville on commentary when their teams are playing and the childish banter and biasedness from them during the games.

They broadcast every premier league game on 2 different channels simultaneously and yet never thought that maybe a percentage of viewers would like to watch the game without commentary and use one channel for the broadcast with commentary and one without commentary, nobody would lose out in that instance and for a lot of people the experience of watching a game would be enhanced as they could choose the non-commentary option.

In the dying with a continous cold/flu camp as well. Featuring feverish dreams.

And I know it'll 100% settle in my chest in a couple of days since I was caught out in the lashings of rain with 200+ parcels because nobody bothered organising Saturday cover for me when I had a seperate medical emergency that I had to attend to.

I did for periods but then you miss out on the match sounds and the crowd sounds, which takes away from the experience of watching the match.

Sports commentators in soccer – and now the GAA – who appear not to understand the meaning of basic English words.

Example: “It was three be two.”

Three, of course, can never be two, no matter what kind of a diet it goes on.

The word, “be” means to exist. The word they are searching for and which appears to have slipped through the holes in their brains is “by”, which means alongside.

I think you've been mishearing commentators.

    I'd be confident that they're saying "3 vs 2" as in 3 against 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 Ahcrod

I don't think so – although one on them did say, distinctly the other night "versus". However the next time I'm watching I'll try to ascertain whether it's a “v” or a “b” sound.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,878 ✭✭✭Rocket_GD

    3 be 2 makes absolutely 0 sense, even 3 by 2 doesn't make sense.

    It's 100% 3 vs 2.

I watch a lot of games now with the sound turned off. I find I see a lot more of what's going on when I'm not distracted by the commentators. Of course. I turn on the sound again for the after-match analysis.

I'll admit that the context is "against" and logic seems to point to your being right and I being slightly deaf, or the commentators not being articulate enough. I’ll try to remember to check it out and get back to you.

Looking at flights from Dublin → Heathrow mid December, a Thursday to Sunday and with just the most basic return fare, minimum luggage and NO extras, best our national airline are charging for non red eye times on those dates…. …€271.50. More convenient times sends the return fare over €300

Ryanair isn’t practical as my destination in Richmond upon Thames is only a 20 minute drive from Heathrow… that’s probably more like 12 minutes with my cousin driving. 🫣 But I’m a little miffed as why the second week in the month of December are flights so fûckin extortionate…actually miffed & TA’d. If it was Christmas week I’d kinda get it but fúck that.

Kid of about 5 in front of me on the bus earlier playing games on his mother's phone the entire way in. No primary-aged child should be on a screen before school in the morning.

If I was a betting man, id say at some stage in the near future, if it hasnt already happened, that that kid is "on the spectrum".

Probably staring at screens since he was a year old.
