Elon musk said he converted to being pro trump because democrats were fostering illegals coming into America so they could vote blue.

    One problem with that is

The guys an idiot. He just accepts whatever any guest ever says to him, no push back or probing ever, "oohhh, I didn't know that".

He can have people with two completely opposing views on within weeks of one another and never uses the "facts" he heard off one guest to challenge another. Just 2hr love ins.

He's happy watching a few youtube videos and getting a laugh, regardless of how serious the substance of what he watched is.

Not to mention that he takes Alex Jones seriously.

Musk doesn't operate in a normal adult human emotion spectrum. He's a 14 year old brain trapped in a 53 year olds body who still thinks "edgelord" is a good persona to adapt. Richest man in the world, but his own kids hate him and he desperately wants to be cool but looks like the saddest **** act in the circus trying to do so. An absolutely pathetic wimp of a man.

It wasn't just the venue. She wanted a list of approved questions and a 30 minute taped interview that could be edited. That's not what Joe does, for anyone. Her handlers just couldn't see her lasting 3 hours of a live interview, that was all. She was no good at interviews, trump was, rightly or wrongly.

Joe said it himself in the episode after Trump's one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,899 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

On the episode with Dan Richards after someone on the Harris campaign released a book. They said the Harris campaign had a walk through of the studio and Kamala had a rally in texas so she could do the podcast aswell but according to Rogan the walk through never happened and she never agreed to even enough do the podcast in the first place

I doubt it was the difference between Harris winning or not, but it is something that democrats should do in the future. Is it wild though that Rogan went from supporting Bernie Sanders to supporting Trump, a person Sanders absolutely detests.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,899 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

She was probably going to lose either way, poor candidate all round. Gavin Newsom has started his own podcast, Charlie kirk was his first guest. The Democrats have pretty much left the working class supporters behind in recent years, they need to go back to basics

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,372 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

I would think bernie Sanders is more for the working class of America then Trump with his tax breaks for the rich but perhaps they are not representative of their parties.

This is great, creative editing and shows the impact that Joe and his fellow comedians/podcasters have impacted society.

Nonsense. She didn't win because the trump campaign managed to successfully tie her to both DEI, migration and most importantly inflation that occured during the Biden admin. Given the way the campaign turned out, Harris was never going to win. Biden should have stood aside in 2023 and the Dems might have had a chance.

Appearing or not on Rogan made absolutely no difference.

Very good video. I don't really care that Joe is a bad comedian or has opened the door to bad comedian podcasts but just wish that Joe was back to his old self in interviewing guests. He still gets good guests, he just needs to dump the guests who keep coming on and repeating the same stories like that CIA guest.

Have dipped into the JRE for the first time in ages lately.

Sometime the daft "person talking bollocks" episodes can actually quite fun. Kurt Metzgur was a good.

Tim Dillion is decent. Smart, measured and will openly talk conspiracy theories whilst being overtly aware how silly it all is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,372 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

Tim Dillon is less supportive of the current administration so he is a good counterpoint to Joe at the moment. And Dillon is actually funny.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,182 ✭✭✭kowloonkev

It's gone way too political these days. Before Joe used to always divert discussion towards cage fighting or working out and now more often than not he diverts the conversation towards politics.

Tim Dillon is probably the best at off the cuff ranting but the podcast is gone so boring, it's just constant politics

I know I'm a week or so behind and I probably skip 9 out of 10 JRE podcasts but this one got me right from the start. An excellent listen, couldn't stop. Probably the least joe has ever talked in a podcast. This lad can tell stories...

At about 30 seconds in. "Alex Jones is right all the f***ing time".

The Rogan-verse have become painful now. The way they overtly bow down to Joe is hilarious.

Riyadh comic Andrew Schulz really doubled down on his hypocrisy. I was cringing listening and then Schulz "randomly" brought up playing pool. Nobody has and nobody ever will will give a flying f*ck about pool. Except for Joe that is. He adores it.

It was basically a bloke knowingly bringing up something a girl he fancies likes so he can talk about her favorite thing.

The Schultz stuff is hilarious. He went hard for Trump and has been trying his best ever since with the "Well, how was I supposed to know that Trump was going to follow through on all of the horrible things he said he was going to do" stuff.

Rightfully, Rogan has been getting called out on his slow-but-sure drift, and now full landing, on the alt-right grift side. The likes of Marc Maron, Bobby Lee, Andrew Santino, Stavros Halkias have been vocal on what's been going on and how this whole Austin "scene" is essentially a load of lads making disparaging comments about trans people and calling them jokes.

Schultz was not happy and came out swinging at them for being sly and not bowing down to Joe Rogan……. well, without actually naming them so being sly himself.

I used to love Joe's show. He was always down-the-middle and i've even defended him on this very thread from those saying he was turning into a right-wing grifter, but he has definitely become that these days. It used to be that he had people from all corners on and discussed all sides. Now he's an old crank who pushes the Christian Nationalist bullet points at every opportunity.

He was claiming to be an expert in vaccines a few weeks ago and was arguing to Bryan Callen that vaccines caused autism. That he had been "studying this for 30 years". Pretty disgusting.

Have many of the comics that done the saudi arabia gig talked about the backlash they got? The only two I've seen is Bill Burr talking to conan o brien about it, he was doing the usual "f*ck anyone thats criticising it" and Tim Dillon before he got kicked off the list for saying something about the Saudis having slaves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,571 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

Whitney Cummings came out with the dumbest take of all by saying "If you think it's bad that we took money from the Saudis for the festival then you're racist agianst Saudi Arabians".

That was in response to criticism from………. Chris Delia. You know things are bad when you're losing the moral highground to a guy like Delia.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,595 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Schultz and a few others (Chris Distefano and the like) have come out pretty much scoffing at any critics. Giving it the full haw haw "Yeah Yeah I did it and you are all idiots for thinking I wouldn't. I got that Saudi money brooooooooo!!!! HAHAHAHAHA". It is very on brand for him but I think Schultz got significant blowback from his fans for being so outright and cocky.

They all know they are complete sell outs, you can see it in their eyes. They haven't an ounce of credibility now. Would be hilarious if people genuinely tapped out on their shows and podcasts because of this.

Shane Gillis comes out of this looking like $1 million bucks, and rightfully so. Hope he takes over the world now.

I saw somebody make the observation that these "takedown" channels are now more popular than the actual content that they are lampooning. That Elephant graveyard video has north of 3 million views.

I've watched many of the vids. There really is something satisfying about someone clear as day calling out hypocrisy and BS.
