That must be Nigel with the brie...

I heard the Coffee Cantata on the radio yesterday. The presenter was talking about the coffee craze sweeping across Europe back in ye olde days.

Isn't it crazy that we got to see it happening all over again this last 20 odd years.

more ‘paperless’ problems. My folks got some new home technology installed recently and the guy never left a manual of any sort. Just did a 5 minute demo before he left them. They realised and subsequently called his head office asking if they could acquire a manual… “ ohhh we don’t supply those because of environmental concerns but you can reference all the system manuals on the manufacturer’s website, go to www……”

On said website are 100+ product manuals covering each system and each variation that the company has ever made. People spending a few thousand, just give them a 30 page book, ya cheap cûnts and don’t be ‘pretending’…. ”ohhh erm, cause, the environment”…

The next TA when you find it is that the manual will be crap. Once upon a time they were actually the instruction manual for the particular item. Now they contain braindead crap like "Don't attempt to set the device on fire."

I'm literally after leaving a message with a company asking them to send us an actual manual for a small appliance my father just bought. QR code my arse.

I can't find my bank card and I've looked everywhere. I had it yesterday and I think I remember taking it out of my wallet when I got home. I hope it turns up tomorrow.

Lost my lovely raincoat - remember wearing it downtown on Tuesday - phoned the business, it wasn’t there. Definitely thought I had it lost. Got home today and its hanging on the coat rack just inside the door - I’m losing it

Yeah I guess. But even fairly "legitimate" outlets like RTE do the same where you have to read 500 words before they address the headline.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

A**zon .ie still with more ‘stock unavailable issues’….that never used to happen but I see online it’s a complaint frequently aimed at them the last while and I’ve been hit with this issue too more than once.

Tonight, I see nice Lacoste hand towels Id like to buy to replace the ones I bring to the gym which are worn, stock.. ‘ temporarily unavailable ‘… stuck two in my basket hoping that might bump something or someone to get the ball moving.. only €5.79 which in fairness for a solid brand like Lacoste is for nothing but unfortunately the available stock is also.. ‘nothing’…🫤

Guineys sell very good towels, some of them even branded.

Planned my day on the fact that the forecast said there would be no rain till well after lunch. Looks a lot like rain at 9:30am? Check met.ie again and realise that I've been looking at the wrong forecast all week, Dublin instead of Waterford :-(

Quinn's in Drumcondra badly needs to reopen (despite the owner saying it's only "weeks away" since about April or May. In McGrath's for a pre-match drink and it's been absolutely wedged since about 3pm. Currently at least 4-deep at the bar.
