I'm going to enjoy the music and escape from current affairs for a few hours

I shouldn't be made feel like **** because of it. I didnt personally go out and book them

Surely they will? I haven't seen them since that gig in 91 and would love to say farewell!

I've only seen them twice…1988 and 1991…peak Megadeth I would think but if they play next year I will go for old times sake even if they are way off the levels of those years.

I've seen Megadeth loads of times. The shows I caught with Kiko were as stellar as most certainly better than the tail end of the Broderick years…have yet to see them with the new guy.

While I don't particularly care for Disturbed I've seen them in the past as support and at festivals the bald is a hypocrite on Kneecap using their platform as he'd never do that when on stage I heard him say some obnoxious notions as part of preachy speils. It's only wrong when you don't agree with it seemingly.

I wouldn't knowingly part with my own money to support that mug.

If somebody wants to go no worries but hypothetically in the instance I was gifted a ticket and was muttered at along the way in I wouldn't argue, they'd be right after all.

Will catch Megadeth on the farewell, perhaps here hopefully.

When I saw there was 30 new replies on this thread since last night, thought the gig was cancelled or something.

    How's Megadeth supporting Disturbed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,558 ✭✭✭Wrongway1985

They want to maintain playing in arenas. Upper tier open even so its justified, business is good sadly.

Shows how out of touch promoters are by booking them full stop.

And hopefully that'll be a proper headline gig as their last hurrah. Ive only seen them once, and they were epic.

God disturbed have ruined this megadeth gig…

Nah seemingly being shadowy zionists isnt quite the same as openly signing bombs for the death of Arabs.

That's ridiculous. Big difference between a guy signing a bomb, and a guy who went to a country to ply his profession.

Just bought my ticket to this and will also leave straight after Megadeth. Have seen MD about six times and can't believe this is coming to an end. Always a great experience live. Can't they reverse the order for this and give Megadeth the headline slot?

You've been great. We've been Megadeth!

Remember, if you're planning on walking out, wait until disturbed are on stage, make it as uncomfortable for the dickhead as possible.

Predictable set from Megadeth, makes it great for me don't feel I'm missing anything seen all that performed before.

Looked like they were playing 'Countdown…' title track but it's been dropped, it is the bare support slot despite no opening band granted it is pretty much advertised that way but still.

First gig's setlist was shocking. Glad to see that they have replaced two pointless songs with old classics now. Hope they keep it that way.

Tbh when I see the two back in…back to back like that it's not exactly enthralling they skip the intro to the second song if it's the way they've been performed for a while, fine tuning timings if anything.

Their Belgium gig has been cancelled for fear or violent protests. Go on the Belgians, great bunch of lads!!

I really hope this doesn't get called off, I'd hate to miss an opportunity to have some quality protest shenanigans.

Megadeth have been rubbish for 30 years, not sure I would want to listen to Dave fecking mustang just so I could walk out of a horrible zionist cvntheads gig

Prior quote obviously. That's a really poor decision from the local authorities. Cancel the gig because Disturbed are absolutely awful fair enough. This will be construed as antisemitic if there is any more meaning left to the word because of Belgium's sizeable muslim population. WTF are Megadeth doing with these chancers anyway - 2.5 of the best thrash metal albums of all time and chief songwriter of the first three Metallica albums.

Can we just go for the music

For a few hours can we just forget about politics and 'you should be ashamed of yourself going'

    MCD booked them, not me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,496 ✭✭✭✭greenspurs

No one knew (or really cared ,tbh) that you were going until you just told us...

So until then you could have went in cognito and not 'feel ashamed .....'
