They put them up in 2022 when the PA's were initially put on the 123, although they only changed the bus stops on Griffith Ave, Marino Estate and Philipsburgh Avenue

As far as I know, the stops aren't printed in pieces (like in Budapest, see here → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed4iqkgM93s ), but are printed as one giant sticker, so you can either overlay the old numbers with a small sticker or are better off replacing the entire stop head and reusing the old one. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the stop heads from Marino will find their use at other phase 7 stops.

(I've said my share of gripes about using one giant print for an entire stop already and how much more costly it makes things, but this is coming from someone who also grew up in cities that post every route as its own piece of paper on stops, which just makes sense.)

They set up a new TFI pole for the 84x stop on Stephen's Green around 2 years ago or so (the only route serving it), and since that the 84X was replaced (& re-routed) as part of phase 6a, they simply put a sticker over the route number and left the pole as is.

They've started updating the flags with the F-spine/23/24 now at the existing TFI stops.

The Bus Eireann 109A to Kells stops at Ballymun Kickhams now also.

I'm not a fan of how inconsistent the TFI bus stops are. Most split the routes by operator but some don't (like the Ballymun Kickhams 19/24/109A and Cremore Villas 24/N2 stops). Then despite the Bus Eireann 103 stopping at multiple places on the Finglas Road there's zero indication at the actual stops.

The flag definitely didn't list it until now though.

Great to see that they still display a vague stop name as the terminus, with no reference to the terminus area itself (in this case Charlestown for the F2). At minimum, the "Towards X" should be the area or what the bus itself displays as the destination, not the terminus stop.

Because the E1 terminates in Ballywaltrim which is just on the edge of Bray rather than terminating at the station. Maybe it would be better if the displays showed Bray (Ballywaltrim).

They probably chose it because it follows the 145 route and that did say Ballywaltrim on it, but of course that was when there were two routes running to Bray, and the 155 did just say Bray. With just the 1 core route serving the town I am not sure why they chose Ballywaltrim over Bray.

If anything I think it's a good example of how they could better use the smaller text display. I really don't think saying "via city centre" (which I believe is what they still say?) is a good use of the very limited text space a bus has. Bray as the main location with Ballywaltrim in small text below I think would have made more sense.

that’s a really fast journey time from Rathmines to Pearse, takes 20-25 minutes at the moment!
