Amazfit Balance Smart Watch Deal Discussion⌚

Mine came this morning, a day early. Ive had an Amazfit GTS 2 mini for 3 years, this is so many levels above that. The screen is quality with the colours. All my messages show properly on the watch now Including emojis and I can actually respond to messages using watch. I'm sure it's all simple stuff for people who had better watches the last few years but it's all new to me so happy days.

I signed up to Curve which was amazingly straightforward and added a card to Zepp Pay. Haven't tried to use it yet. It seems you have to open Zepp Pay on the watch before you tap which totally defeats the purpose?

My other huge niggle is the absence of Google Assistant integration. But maybe there's a workaround.

Ffs. I ordered 2 on the 9th and no dispatch of the 1 they said they'll send. Given that I was getting them for the teens, maybe Jeff Bezos is checking in here and helping out by not sending me any and thus saving me from having to choose who gets it!

If anyone got the black one but wanted the silver one, I'd be up for a swap. My 4 year old GTR 2e is black but I got the silver Balance. Might take some getting used to.

BTW the GTR 2e is still working really well, screen takes a good amount of beating and the battery still lasts for ages. Hopefully the Balance is the same quality.

One thing I have noticed, in my 10+ years of using Huami/Xiaomi/Amazfit wearables, is that the algorithm calc results in about 25% less calories burnt compared to other devices I've tried. Would be curious if others get the same results.

Did you have to start the Zepp Pay app first or just move the watch to the payment terminal (or whatever it's called)?
