Herself got a new 85 Sportline at the weekend. App connected to the car no problem but the vehicle status and temperature and charging controls are greyed out. Also can’t add another user profile either. Anyone have any suggestions? Would just be a pain to drive to the dealer really, have tried a reset of the Headunit already.

Hey guys, how long do orders on the new Enyaq 85 take?

If it's like VW there is probably some data sharing option in the app or online that you have to agree to before it will give all the data.

Hey guys, what are people's thoughts on the heat pump? Is this a good addition or unnecessary for the Irish climate?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,900 ✭✭✭Buddy Bubs

Good addition if it was free, general consensus is don't pay for it

I don't have one and never once thought I wish I had it

That's exactly what.i needed to hear. So long as I never have a moment where I wish I had gotten one, then its not worth it.

Heated seats are standard aren't they? I mean you're never going to be cold with heated seats.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,900 ✭✭✭Buddy Bubs

Ah there may be a journey at some stage in the future that you needed to charge where a heat pump would have got you home but the likes of that is going to be few and far between.

It's a small bit of potential range for a decent whack of money. But I'd guess a couple of mins on a fast charger for a fiver would cover the advantage.

If you regularly do 350+km motorway journeys have a think about heat pump, if not don't bother. I have tavascan which is mechanically identical and don't have one, it was nearly 2 grand.

Heated seats, not sure on every model but I'd guess they are standard. The enyaq in work has them anyway. And steering wheel.

Its 1200 on the Enyaq for a 10% boost. I ran the numbers through chat gpt and I'd need to drive 54,000km without the heat pump to spend the equivalent €1200. That's using a 20c rate, so using the cheap night rate its going to be closer to 100,000 km.

Seems it really is not worth paying for.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,900 ✭✭✭Buddy Bubs

Even at that I'd guess that 10% figure only comes about in very cold temperatures which we get rarely enough in Ireland so your 54000kms breakeven may even be higher

I'd really only look at heat pump if it was the difference between making a regular journey on one charge and not making it, but even at that, I dont think I would pay for it

You could get the same effect by tweaking your driving style or by other methods, not carrying stuff unnecessarily, keeping tyre pressure correct, all of which are free

I actually forgot that I believe I am getting a heat pump as standard in my Renault 5 next month, shows how little I am bothered by having one.

No heat pump in our Ioniq 5 or ID3, although I see that the 2025 Ioniq has heat pump as standard.

My previous Ioniq 28 had a heat pump and I remember the car would heat up super fast compared to my current cars.

But yeah, it's a nice to have but I wouldn't pay extra for one.

I received a mail last week to set up the My Skoda app. The app is stating my new car was produced last week, with a dealer delivery date 15th to 29th August.

From people's experience, are the lead times accurate? Could I be waiting up to 8 weeks for delivery from the factory?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,116 ✭✭✭Mr Q

My father has a Skoda ordered, not an Enyaq, and also got the email to add the new car to his Skoda app, currently uses the app for current car.

The delivery date was stating September when he added the car. Late last week that changed to July so I wouldn't be too confident in the dates the app shows. But if the new date is correct it would be 5 weeks I think for his delivery from production.

We have an Elroq on the way, the nonsensical App said September and we are collecting it 2 weeks!

I had a quick look around the Enyaq 130 Special Edition this morning.

Super car. Went in and ordered the 130 edition at the weekend!

Bright coloured interior really lifts the car. Stitching on the front headrests look really poor on the one in the video. Hopefully it’s just a fault on that particular car.

Nice front end, a big improvement.

What's the worst range anyone has ever gotten from a 77/80 Enyaq? Thinking of switching our main car to an EV when the second one is already EV. Each year might do one day 600-700km in France on motorways full car (5 + luggage) and maybe 4 bikes on the back. Am I into ideally two but most likely three stop territory? Or could it be 4? Guessing bikes make difference but some forums suggest worst is 25-27 per 100km which could still be 250-300km? Or could it drop below 200km if it's high thirties outside? Would hope to cruise around 110km/h. Keen to hear any real world experience

Unless it’s a mega mileage example, I’d expect you’d be at or above 300Km in such circumstances. High temperatures wouldn’t be a huge issue, severe cold would be much more restricting. Some useful data here if you’ve not seen it previously; https://ev-database.org/car/1280/Skoda-Enyaq-iV-80

Evening. Don’t have an Enyaq but I have a Tavascan. Same battery and motor and range. Last year in France with 5 and a full boot I was getting 400-450kms at 125km/h. Doing 110 out of Cherbourg I was getting 500+ over the 90 mins we were at that speed. Temps were mid and high 20’s and up and down hills. No bikes on the back. Absolute joy to drive EV in Europe, loads of power makes the drive with a full load so much easier.

Going to do a 770km drive this summer and expecting the same 3 stops. It can be done in two but bladders and bellies dictate the stops, also numb arses.

As an aside if you do go with Irish ferries, be aware the charging points onboard are 4kw and you board first but potentially could be last off if you aren’t the first EV onboard as these spots are further down the queue for leaving plus you have to park the wrong way around to get a shorter run to the charger. I would also recommend buying a subscription to someone like Ionity for a month and getting the cheaper rates. You’ll make the cost back by the end of day 1. Only once did I have to wait in August, the wait was 10 seconds. Car chargers rapidly and is nearly ready by the time all have visited the loos and got a sandwich. I would also recommend Bip&Go for the tolls, no stopping on some roads and bill later. You only get charged for the months you use the tag and it lies dormant till used again the next year with no monthly.

sorry just re read your post, do you have an 80 or an 85 Enyaq. The 85 is the same as the Tavascan. However I can’t imagine there is too much difference between the ranges, the 85 gets more BHP.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,631 ✭✭✭MarkN

quick 10 / 15 min stops at Ionity etc to keep you moving is all you’d have to do anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 Threepindriving

we found our stops naturally coincided with our physical requirements. Be it toilet needs, food or to stretch our legs. Looking back stops were usually between 30 and 50kWh added. Maybe 20 min stops. Longer ones were when we were near shops etc to wander around.

It very much depends on your needs at the time. This year I have a 800km drive that I need to get to a destination by a set time to ensure I can get the car onsite so we can unload. So some stops will be splash and dash alright.

I have nothing just yet! Was gonna go Skoda Superb PHEV Combi but they're hard to find. A lot more Enyaq out there. Would be getting previous gen 80kWh. I'm already converted to EV for all our local driving, but for the big holiday one I'm wondering, esp when bikes are involved. But a rear mounted rack should be less damaging to range than roof.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,865 ✭✭✭g0g

Can the 2021-2023 versions charge that fast? I thought I'd be looking at 30 minutes plus which still is only a quick break anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,900 ✭✭✭Buddy Bubs

I have tavascan too, we have enyaq 85 in work and also some older model id4s and id5s which would be equivalent to enyaq 80.....theres no real difference in max range in any of them.

Motor is meant to be more efficient in newer ones but we dont notice much of a difference

Any pointers a realistic price to pay for a 2023/2024 Enyaq? Ideally an 80, or a well-specced 60.

Asking prices from dealers seem to be €30k-ish. Seems a bit steep given new ones start from €47k.

€25K ish, maybe have a look up north ? Personally I wouldn’t buy a 60 no matter what the spec. Not that many used 80’s available hence it’s hard to gauge where prices are at. Way more ID.4’s available and cheaper but the Enyaq is a better package.
