We need Con to be 100 percent and hope our defensive is a lot tighter then the last day and even then I'm not sure if it will be enough. Tyrone have the extra week as well. Will be very tough we will need to be at our very best.

Is it another draw for semi final. Or winner of game 1 v winner of game 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,871 ✭✭✭MFPM

Yeah I'm fairly sure it's another draw for the semis.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,571 ✭✭✭rolling boh

Tough draw but if we lose that's it but a win would really give us a chance ,bring it on .

Tickets for hurling were snapped up. Was gonna go but didn’t realise they’d all go so quickly.

Great for Dublin hurling , I hope all hardcore fans got then. I’m just luck to of been there to witness them beat limerick.

6.15 throw in on Saturday for the football.

Double header with Monaghan v Donegal.

Donegal with just the 6 day turnaround.

A bit of an FU to Jim McGuiness from the GAA over his recent criticism perhaps 😁

Apply through your club. Who'll take over the hill? It'll be some sight.

Saturday just gone cost me more then 200 euro tickets whatever ate or drank on the day then a taxi home cause public transport was fucked so can't imagine what it will be like for the three teams coming from the north. I'll think it over but might sit this one out and take a risk with Gaa plus that they might actually work this time!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,571 ✭✭✭rolling boh

Cork hurlers always bring a huge crowd different level to the football, they will be heavy favs but won't stop them travelling. They will outnumber Dubs easily I would think .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,505 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

They'll outnumber you overall. Could be 50k up from cork but on the hill it might be closer in numbers as the Dublin hardcore tend to gravitate to there. Can't wait for the atmosphere. I was on the hill when Dublin beat Galway to win Leinster and when cork beat you the next game but cork support has increased a lot since then.

Haha Jesus kinda glad I made the choice to watch at home this time out 5000 odd in the queue when I went on at 11 to see how they where selling!

Got through all those people then it just starts spinning and crashes haha. **** me Ticketmaster are something else hope people got sorted anyway.

Pain in the hole listening to Donegal people complaining. They are strong odds on favourites to beat Monaghan as it is. If they'd won their group they wouldnt be in this position - they didnt. The victim mentality in that county is off the charts.

Agreed Jimmy Mac is becoming a characture of himself. Big panel and all. Yet he flogs his oldest player running him like a dog.

Think of the amount of injuries the Dublin panel has had and how Dessie could not risk Con the last day. No depth in panel, And Donegal could nearly field two teams.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I am going to miss the AI QF. Brought the auld lad tickets for Saw Doctors in Fairview. Didn't check fixtures dates. In my head I was still old fixtures list.

Now I will have some job to avoid hearing the Dublin result, in Fairview Park at the same time almost impossible to do that.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

You'd have enough time to go to the Dublin match and run across the road for the gig. What time are they on stage? 9ish? Heaps of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,640 ✭✭✭Luxembourgo

I managed it last year for the Galway game, made it in good time.

Only issue if there is ET etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,203 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

I will see with the setup I have going unfortunately, it is likely an either or situation.

The irony is I am going to Sunday's Double header. And if Dublin lose on Saturday that will be extra sickening. Especially if the Dublin match ends up like a meek performance like Dublin did in that last game of the league v Tyrone.

As others have said on here you wouldn't know what way to call the Tyrone game.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

If Con is fit you would have to fancy the Dubs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,203 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

Just on that. I was listening to that Indo podcast. Dick Clerkin made out that his "sources" said Con is not fit to start.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,571 ✭✭✭rolling boh

Proberly won't know for sure until nearer throw in,if Con is out think our chances are all but gone .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,582 ✭✭✭leath_dub

    Clerkin's sources 😂

Nobody with any connection to the Dublin setup would be talking to that ballbag.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,222 ✭✭✭✭billyhead

I also wouldn't count on Dessies team announcement on Thursday night as to how they will start. For example Con could be left of it but be togged out to start on Saturday. Keep Tyrone guessing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,582 ✭✭✭leath_dub

Here's what Dessie always does on a Thursday: They name the 15 that started the previous match

Then on match day there will be at least 2-3 changes. Players dropping right off the match day panel, additions to the 26, shirt numbers reallocated

The published team is neatly always a work of fiction

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,195 ✭✭✭✭blanch152

Yeah, that's the pattern, the only change is if someone was clearly injured the previous day e.g. pulled a hamstring, or badly damaged an ankle etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,571 ✭✭✭rolling boh

Changed times in terms of crowds, more expected to attend Sunday rather than Saturday, we are back to our core following by the looks of things .

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,881 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

haven’t seen that anywhere, would be surprised, apart from Sunday being better for most people I’d expect even enough attendance.

65k v70k figures mentioned the other day as expected to attend , might change come match day of course, four counties playing our match should have well over 70k I think .
