Agreed. Ticketmaster was a mess today!

Why can't they just assign the best available seats also? It's surely easy to build it in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 634 ✭✭✭Corcaigh84

I'm the opposite 🤣 Am always expecting them to figure us out in Finals after experiencing 03 and 06.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,100 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    We should have won 03

We were unprepared in 06 for the swarm tackling

I'd love an all ireland win v Munster team

    We're 0/3 at the moment

Winning Liam by beating Kilkenny in the final - that is always the best one to win for me. Doesn't happen often but ut us the sweetest imo.

Gettting over Dublin should be the only thing on our minds however and I reckon the players will be a bit rusty following a month off. Over the course of the game, as long as there are no sendings off, I think we are a better team and will beat them.

Absolutely agree ShamoBuc. Cork are the better team

It's a better job picking your seat altogether but it might delay people a bit.

You can pick the seats that are undercover or pick a certain seat instead of being allocated a seat in the very front row.

The front row seats aren't the best seats. It's very subjective on which seats are the best ones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,439 ✭✭✭JanuarySnowstor

Yes quite right, but also a gamble because when there's 1000s logged on you could actually lose out altogether while trying to grab your specified seat. The club's are not getting much, less than 90 even for bigger ones. I reckon Cork alone will sell this out, expect 70k Cork fans. People might have been complacent cause it's Dublin, but they forgot the natural cork/dublin rivalry will draw a huge cohort that don't normally follow hurling!! I reckon it's a sell out already and those stuck for tickets will rely on last minute cancellations

Agree. John Gardiner missed everything that day. We had enough chances to win 2003. Kilkenny were just better than us in 2006 and we had no answer. I think it's time for Cork to win an All Ireland 20 years is far too long for a county with a rich tradition in hurling.

I hope Killeagh replaces the Banks. I know it's traditional but I find it fierce dull

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,118 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

They would have reserved tickets for the Dublin clubs who probably won't use up their allocation. Expect more tickets to appear on Ticketmaster next week.

Swapping Gardiner and Kenny worked wonders in 04 as did getting Jerry O'Connor into the team

I always think what could have been after 03 if we kept Setanta around

20 years is far too long

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭Seadin

We have a decent chance this year provided we don't get carried away with the hype and focus on the next game only.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,100 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    100%

We have been forewarned about Dubs now

    Focus on them only

It's going to be one hell of a battle on 5th

I can't see Dublin re producing the same form against Cork. Its Corks to lose. For the future hopefully not a false dawn and Dublin stay competitive and further improve to be a realistic contender in Leinster and the AI series. The more teams at the top table the better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,100 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Will be tough for Dublin alright but that win will give them fierce confidence as well

Apparently the 3 trains sold out in 15 mins earlier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,801 ✭✭✭✭ACitizenErased

4 trains out and 3 trains back, and it was less. I logged on when they came on and within 5-6 mins they were gone. Lucky to have gotten a spot!

I have a Upper Cusack adult and juvenile ticket to spare for hurling Saturday week if anyone interested.

    Now gone.

That is a right disaster. He will give everything to Dublin no doubt. Cork shouldn't agree to that.

ah lads, talk about getting the excuses in early. Do our job properly and it wont matter a shite who the ref is

Unbelievable, he shouldnt be left near a Cork game after his disgraceful performance in the final last year.

The GAA really need to get some decent referees, the standard is really poor.

Who the tef is can have a major impact on the game and considering last years final it would gave been nice not to see him in Croker again for a Cork game.

That said, we turn up and we should win regardless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 634 ✭✭✭Corcaigh84

Lads if that unfit gom has gotten the match, the players need to know it's flake away time from the throw in, unless he's changed his tune since last July.

Forget the cribbing, show up next weekend and roar the boys into another final. We're the better team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,569 ✭✭✭Straight Talker

Dublin haven't beaten us in championship hurling in almost 100 years. As long as we're switched on and not complacent, then we should win with a couple of points to spare irrespective of who the reff is.

No disrespect to Dublin but if we have any aspirations of trying to win an All Ireland and we can't beat Dublin then we don't deserve to be there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,862 ✭✭✭The White Feather

I agree totally! This should be over at the 60th min but if we have an off day it could be a nail biter. Its like a few years sgo against Limerick, I would hope we play great and they have an off day to have a chance of winning. Now its reversed and Dublin are hoping we will be off it.

The biggest worry I have, is the long break. I thought the minors were the best minor team in the competition but they didn't deal with the break to the semi final and Clare really worked hard, shut us down, played well and beat us. I would put this down to management and its how players are prepped in knowing whats required. I hope to see Ryan deal with that break much better.

Ya that semi final against Clare kinda has me cautious about next week.

Look we should win, but so should Limerick last week. I think we will be fine but I expect it be little closer than people expect. But I'm confident we will have enough.
