Felt weird backing the dubs. Normal service resuming. Be a bit much for two shocks today.

that is unbelievable. We’ve a massive chance now

If Tip win do we play Dublin? If Galway win do we play Galway?

Thought we had the winners of Tip/Galway but was that dependent on a Limerick win?

We have Dublin if Tipp win and Galway if Galway win as they avoid repeat pairings

I thought the same thing! But in fairness, all the counties left will be thinking that.

You would think Tipp wins (but not certain) then it will be Dublin for us. Our speed will be a huge asset against them but they will be up for it no doubt. I liked their forward play but their defence was hanging on at times. But thats what you need to do and they had a man sent off in fairness!

Always had a chance of winning it this year. Can they handle the favorites tag (again) is the doubt but it’s wide open. Felt like they had to peak for the semi last year and weren’t at their very best for the final. Couldn’t ask to be in a better position at this stage of the year though.

This year will be our version of 1966 when Limerick took out Tipp for us ironically enough. The all Ireland is ours to lose as of now. People might see that as an arrogant statement but i genuinely believe that now.

Well Cork are the favourites now, no doubt about that.

Came close last year, league and Munster winners this year.

I would also go back to the Cork v Tipp game where after the esending off, Cork killed them off quick and used the exta man well. Todays game, it looked like Dublin had an extra man at times. For all the praise we give Limerick, I thought they had some kind of malfunction in their tactics. Hard to see from the tv what went wrong, but really the game shoud be over after the sending off.

Up by 2 and deserving of it.

Felt they had a game in them.

Need the sane now in the second half.

Very good from the footballers after such a poor opening 10 min

I was afraid this would happen in the 2nd half. We've no showed since halftime.

Hurson doing his best to absolutely ride us here as usual. We gave it a good shot but not good enough unfortunately, far too many easy scores

    Another moral victory.

cork vs dublin on the 5th of july at 5pm confirmed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,510 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Footballers are incredibly frustrating. There's a decent team in there but too often they just can't get over the line.

I cannot for the life of me understand why Martin wasn’t brought up to kick that 2 pointer free that dropped short in to Cluxton’s hands when 3 down (or was it 2 at that point). It drives me mad that players drop those short out of the hand. Put it on the ground and let your keeper kick it off the ground. He might kick it wide, but he will have the distance. Martin had already kicked a 45. Basic stuff.

I'd be very worried about Dublin in the semi-final, we were lucky enough to beat them in 2013 and they will see this game as a revenge mission.

Great effort by the footballers we were unlucky to lose that so we were. The maddening thing with Cork football post 2012 is that we pull these big performances out of the bag occasionally without really building on them going forwards.

With some more consistency we can win promotion from division two next year so there could be something there to work with after all.
