I appreciate he had lots of friends in RTE. But why are they 15 years later. Without trying to be disrespectful who really cares anymore aside from his family and friends.

No disrespect. But Gerry was very public about not being happy to take a pay cut in 2009. If he was still around, he definitly would have gotten caught up in a the recent payments scandel.

If we want to be disrespectful, we could look at how Gerry demonised head shops and drug addicts back in the day and look at how he died. Am I misremembering or did he throw around the junkie word casually on the show. Can a junkie use the junkie word, is that ok. Sort of like a black person using the hard N word.

Boylan much worse Gerry at least admitted once when he was wrong.

Drug use is bad kids, unless your an RTE employee or a model who also overdosed but was brushed under the carpet too.

Doubtful but Larry Gogan was still there well into his 80’s. Gerry would be pushing close to 70 by now. Would he still be doing a 3 hour show every day, I don’t think so. He’d have fallen out with RTE at some point over money or got caught up like Tubs did in the payments scandal.

He might have done a Pat Kenny and moved to Newstalk.

I could see him doing a successful podcast.

Lottie is completely painful. Ridiculous that she’s on waffling about him like this. She’s still clinging onto the RTE canteen on the back of him.

Most nepobabies fight against accusations that they only got to where they are because of who their parents are. Not Lottie though, she's been trading on Gerry's name her entire career. I imagine when she gets her morning coffee on the way to work, she asks for "A skinny latte please, AND I'M GERRY'S DAUGHTER!"
