This is the only photo I can find of him where his tattoos are visible... How exactly are you identifying gang tattoos? Anyway, that's also his autistic son next to him who has had his father abducted, might shut you up.

Its already at the point of a police state.

Trump is goading his opposition in public, there will eventually be civil disobedience and that will be the pretext to call in the army. Its the standard playbook.

There is very little that can be done to stop this.

Rising against his regime will come at enormous personal consequences to anyone putting their head about the parapet and will only accelerate the totalitarian takeover.

The last protection of American democracy was the Courts, and Trump is just openly flouting them now.

DHS are his gestapo. A horribly cynical and authoritarian department set up in response to 9/11, from inception they were always a threat to democracy and now they're in the wrong hands

I've always said that the 9/11 reaction was too extreme. There was also the bill that allowed the NSA to spy on everyone which they said would be temporary..still there today.

Certain people in power used the reaction to get bills past that would never be allowed in any other circumstance. The DHS org was one of those things set up.

that seems to be the case ‘right across the board’. Have a look at the U tube , I think, of that cabinet meeting where Trump got all of his secetaries to report on the WONDERFUL progress they are all making in their departments. He was flanked by Rubio and Hegseath and they did a lot of nodding at the various Trump utterances eg “ you are doing a wonderful job Pam’ (Bondi)

"Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely"

The more power Trump thinks he has, the more he will take.

Hes already a narcissist who thinks he deserves everything and hes already paranoid and thinks everyone is always trying to be unfair to him.

And he's allowed the very worst people into his inner circle. People who would not look any way out of place in the cabals of Hitler, Stalin or Mao..

And Trump is emboldening every authoritarian lickspittle to over reach in their own little regimes, hes authorizing police brutality, border and prison guards to be as depraved as they want to be. Creating a hostile environment where even the smallest act of defiance can destroy someone's life. And he's doing it in public so everyone knows that they need to keep their heads down and not push back

I hope that whatever the UN owns in the US re its buildings used for meetings that it is very salable. Moving office in this day and age is not such a big problem. The UN probably needs a bit of ‘downsizing and could be achieved by moving office in- to another country. It would give the US a really bloody nose , . WHY SHOULD THE US THINK THAT IT HAS THE RIGHT/SOLE AUTHORITY/FRANCHISE to provide the UN service on its soil??

Wait till they see Pete Hegseth's tattoos. I assume @REDBULL68 will agree that white supremacist tattoos should have him deported?

What is even more troubling - even more than the tariffs IMO -is Trumps assertion when he ‘suggested’ that if you want to do business with America it will be only entertained on the basis that you do not do any business with China

They already have one in Geneva so that would simply become the HQ but it seems fairly unlikely.

If Trump stopped paying ,to El Salvador the cost of keeping the. Prisoners, I assume that the ‘agreement’ says that they WILL BE RETURNED to the US!!!!!!!

Guy married a woman with 2 kids and had another afterwards with her. All kids are special needs.

How many of our resident centrists and MAGAts would've done the same?

That is the inbuilt folly of such a deal. If a parton State such as the US decided to not honor payment, or simply withdraw from the agreement, there's likely no system in place for sending internees back to the US. El Savador could even arrange transport, but there's no guarentee that the US would let these people back in.

So in the end, you're landed with the cost of taking care of people another country offloaded on you, and potentially little-to-no reward for doing it. I sort of suspect Rwanda found themselves in a similar situation when the Tories were offloading people there. Although in that case it was less of a prison, and more of disembarkation point for migrants to go try something else, and it didn't appear to last long.

Will be interesting to see how long Donnie can keep El Savador going until he inevitably does something to implode that "deal".

Trump knows that Russia invaded Ukraine. Remember, he was all about saying that under him Putin would have never invaded but Biden was too weak.

He is lying, and repeating that lie often enough that he hopes (and he is correct for his base) that many people will start to at least quesstion that fact and start to think its a 'good people of both sides' arguement. He knows then that rather than calling him out as a liar, people will spend their time arguing about whether the invasion was really as bad as it was made out at the time and maybe Russia are not being treated fairly.

Its all nonesense and Russia aren't helping at all by continuing to refuse any ceasefire and continuing to fire missles. But this is the path Trump has decided to go down and he is now working for Putin

He is clearly a bad actor here and biased against Ukraine. Impossible to see how any supposed peace deal of his could work, when he is not an honest broker and is pro-Russia. I think this reality has already sunk in with both Ukraine and the EU.

That Hispanic voters were one of the largest voters for Trump shows how much Latinos actually care about other Americans

They want and are turning US into a banana republic

There’s no question of the US taking back any of these “prisoners” - it just won’t happen. America won’t even take back the person sent “in error” - so there’s no way they’ll take back anyone else.

As for ongoing payment, I reckon this will end after they’ve maxed out the prison spaces there - the country will have served its purpose and no longer required - maybe 5-10k prisoners “exported” from America - job done.

Yep, led to his first successful impeachment (insofar as he was impeached, but not convicted):

Hispanic voters are largely influenced by the RCC so they're going to vote anti-abortion. Further, the established ones aren't necessarily all that welcoming of other hispanic immigrants.

He said he would be a dictator from day one so no one can say they weren't warned. He believes he has ultimate powers, the supreme court rulings are irrelevant. All his MAGA appointees Bondi, Hegseth, Patel see him as their boss and believe they have to carry out his instructions. The US AG used to be an independent office but Bondi is now just Trumps personal lawyer. If he tells her and Patel to go after people he doesn't like they will do it. Vance came to Europe and lectured us on free speech while the Trump regime are trying shut down any free speech on American campuses. Aside from Kaitlin Collins the US media are afraid to ask him any hard questions knowing he'll snap at them, tell them they are fake news, work for a failing organisation etc. Him and his press sec tell blatant lies without being challenged.

5-10k is a relatively small number given their plans to deport millions. If they renege on the El Salvador deal then other countries are unlikely to take in US prisoners.

However in monetary terms its probably a good deal for the US which make it less likely that they'll stop paying. I'm pretty sure I read they are paying El Salvador $25k per prisoner per year. The cost to incarcerate them in the US would be many multiples. I think it's something like €100k per year to incarcerate a prisoner in Ireland, with the privatised system over there you can be sure it costs a lot more than $25k.

EDIT: In Ireland it costs approximately €85k per year to house a prisoner, the median across US states is $65k. Massachusetts has the highest at $307k!!!

They’re 3rd/4th/5th generation at this stage - they probably have more in common with some coked out rapper than they have with the RCC or their great grandparents .

I suspect this is a strong arm tactic from the US anyway - they’re not “inviting” countries to take prisoners- they’re likely forcing them to do so or risk any amount of economic backlash
