WLTP on EV3 on 17"s is 32% more than the eNiro. I don't think anyone is getting that.

Maybe the eNiro is like the original Hyundai Ionic, the efficiency just can't be matched.

TBH, the 455km range on the eNiro was good enough for me. The EV3 is a little better, maybe it'll improve with a few more charges/discharges/cell balancing etc. And it is (mostly) a brilliant car.

Saw my first EV3 in the wild during the week. In black it looked gorgeous. At first glance I thought it was an EV9.

Couldn't agree more, although I probably am biased as I've a black also.

While I love the overall design of the car, I think it can be a bit busy with all the different colours i.e. the Matt black cladding, the satin silver highlights and the car colour itself. The GT Line has even more going on with the piano black, matt black, satin silver and car colour.

The Earth 3 Aurora black is best IMHO and really suits the car.

Anyone install a dash cam yet?

Looking for a discreete one nextbase still the go to?

I'm waiting for a Fitcamx dash cam to be available. Some guy on an an EV3 owners group sent off his mirror cowling to be 3d scanned. It'll probably be another 6 or 8 weeks before it'll be ready for sale.

Are these ev3 available from dealer stock or is there still waiting list? A friend of mine very interested in either this or elroq (don't think elroq available just yet)

My mate ordered in November. Collected last week.

There's people on here or FB (Cant remember) that ordered and due to collect in January now being giving March delivery dates!

Thanks. I briefly seen that on the Owners forum but not a member so didn't read it fully. I'll take a gander now.

Might be ok for him, he has a PCP maturing in March and looking around now, all he knows is he wants EV and the 2 I mentioned above are jumping out as favourites for him. I've seen a few on the roads alright

I run the home assistant addon that pulls my cars data into home assistant. I have it configured only to do a hard refresh (eg its the same when you tell the app to update) at 2 am, as sometimes on the eNiro it would go into a deep sleep and not actually wake up to charge when the charge point allowed it to.

It does a soft refresh every half hour, just pulls the data that the server has, Ive noticed something. Theres about a 0.2%/hr"vampire drain" if you plug the car in to charge, and charge overnight, then at the end of the window the timer on the charge point stops the charge. The car seems to stay on.

pictures are better than words, Car was plugged in on thurs evening, but not moved until today.

Looking back on my graphs it seems to only happen when not charged to 100%. And no change if unplugged.

I'll check sometime by changing the charge limit..

In my first one if these today. Lovely car. Like all Kia, their current design is on point for me (except this new saloon with the big butt). But it’s a small car, it reminded me of the i3, but just a 5 seater version of it. I’d class it as a smaller car than the Kona.

Jez, actually bigger in some elevations!

    Very deceptive.

Yeah, what I've noticed is a noticeable bigger boot than the eNiro. (And that's not counting the floor being dropped)

I have a new set of aftermarket EV3 cars mats for sale, €35 if anyone is interested.

I took my own advice and waited a few more weeks. I tried another online quote yesterday as a new customer with my old company and ..… it was the same price as last year 🙄😀💰

They were sending me reminders that my insurance was due and to renew - at the increased premium 🤔.

    Ms

The EV3 is the best looking car there the VW just looks frumpy and the Kona I just do not like that Kona at all. Can not warm to it especially the DRLs on it at the front it just looks plain awkward.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Anyone know about the supply levels of the EV3. I ordered one a few weeks ago and the dealer said he’d have an ETA the following week. Two weeks later and he still can’t give me one. What is the current lead in time?

I collected mine last weekend (Renmore) and he said stock is running low - orders placed now are looking at July delivery

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 381 ✭✭sean72

that’s a wee bit longer than the 4-8 weeks, I was told. 🙄

Anyone have a V2L cable for their EV3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 98 ✭✭philidub

Hiya, has anyone picked up rear seat covers, and any other useful accessories you would recommend?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 381 ✭✭sean72

Is that done via the Kia charge app? What tariff are you on, I don't really use public chargers enough to justify prepayment, so was looking at the 'easy' plan. Is there a list of charger vendors that work with Kia Charge?

    have this now 5 days.

Finally have all the setting the way i want them and most annoying beeps gone, especially the speed limit change beep.

Driving it on level 2 regen around the town and carplay works well.

new update has youtube etc - not sure what target market they expect to pay 10 euro a month to occasionally watch that in park?

The EV3 came with a free service plan when I purchased in January. The wording was something like "This plan covers the scheduled maintenance services for the first three years". I thought it would cover the first service @ 2 years and another @ 3 years.

I got an email yesterday to confirm the details of the plan. Turns out the service interval is 2 years and there are 3 free so no service costs at all until year 8 (or 120k km).

Together with the 7 year warranty, the car should cost nothing to run for the first 8 years other than electrons and tyres.

Can't fault it started at 100% in Kildare village, don't worry about the low pressure it was the first ping of the cold season. Tomorrows problem. Couple of detours for food and family on the way too.

What range anxiety 😂 passed 5 ionity hubs and 2 fastned. Nevermind the ecars or applegreen ones
