-Its Virtuosso Image Xtreme by Team Vix, there is also a BlueHD v3.1 by Rosso logo at the bottom. I really dont want to mess with this tbh because the theme of this box is that nothing works when I try and if I do anything to the version Ill lose what I have and wont be able to get it back.

-No only one cable from the satellite to the back of the box, and a normal attic aerial cable for the Saorview channels.

Thanks for all your help Im going to try this method but my Manual Scan window has a load of options:

Type of scan: Complete/User Defined Transponder/Predefined Transponder

System: DVB/DVB-T2/Auto

Region: Too many to list covering the whole planet, is it looking for an Ireland option or a UK option here? Im not sure if this is me telling it where the dish is located or the box asking what channels I want to tune in, if I put in Ireland will I get Saorview and UK channels?

Transponder: 658.0 mhz (channel 44), no idea what this is or what it wants me to input here.

Network Scan - No

Clear Before Scan - Yes

Only Free Scan - Yes/No

I can get to openwebif and I can use the bouquet maker to make a favourites bouquet so if I could just do a scan for working channels only (Saorview and Freesat) I would be sorted but I have a feeling if I do that its going to wipe the whole thing and then not find anything because the region settings are wrong or else the transponder is wrong. Im in Limerick if that makes any difference.

Have to go to work now but if you wouldnt mind telling me the settings Id need to do this Id be super grateful.

Yes! Done at last, embarrassingly easy in the end, this is perfect now and I have an actually decent mix of music channels aswell, I thought they were all gone bankrupt. Also Sky Mix and Sky Arts? Daytime Stargate and Star Trek TNG/Voyager/DS9, perfect hangover tv.

Got the backup exported successfully and it applied to the boxes in all my tenants rooms aswell so couldnt have worked out better, thanks a million.

Your router may have re-assigned the IP address for Zgemma in order to manage your network. This can happen if a device disconnects and reconnects, or if the router is restarted (depending upon the router and its settings).

If you go into your router settings, you should be able to get a list of all devices connected to the network and the IP address assigned to it.

Most routers also allow you set a fixed address to a specific device by its MAC address.

In my openwebif its at the bottom-left, Extras/Terminal

Every router is different but after a reboot/renew-IP it should then be known under that name in your home network too. Some routers also allow you to name it in the router and/or assign the same IP address every time etc.

For my One For All URC 7145, Evolve 4, it has two codes listed for Zgemma, 5101 and 4015. You could try 5101 and hopefully get lucky.

I am thinking of buying a Zgemma H7s V2 and I have had a read through a number of threads to try to make sure that a standard, 7mm HDD will fit in the slot at the back. Having read though, there did not seem to be a definitive answer to this. I have seen one other thread where someone has installed a Hitachi HDD in their H7S, but that is the only one I've seen. Some posters on German forums have suggested that standard 7mm HDD are too thick to fit in the slot, but as far as I know the dimensions of 2.5" SATA SSD and 7mm HDD are the same.

Please can people here just confirm that they have installed a standard 7mm, spinning disk, HDD in their H7S with no problems? I have a new Seagate 7mm, 1TB HDD ready to go, so if anyone has actually installed a Seagate HDD that would be even better and very helpful to know.

If the HDD really is unsuitable I'm going to have to have to give this some thought. When I have a perfectly good HDD sat on the shelf, doing nothing, I'm pretty reluctant to spend another £50 on an SSD. In fact, to get a 1TB SSD with a suitably high endurance rating for PVR use, I may have to spend considerably more that £50, which is then nearly doubling the price of the box.

Indeed. But not very elegant compared to having a half internal drive. Is there any specific problem using a USB powered caddy plugged directly into the box USB port?

Just to add a bit you should not skimp when setting up this box and if you try and skimp on cost you will pay dearly, the box will break.

To get the best out of box, use an SSD and it fits perfecctly. An SSD has no spin up time and is accessed instantly, makes the box more responsive. and its silent. The 7 day epg is stored on the SSD but when the box is configured the default will say internal flash and this is a no no. You change EPG location to Media/HHD in settings and green to save.

This is a good one to use.

When I set these boxes up I always put the epg on a usb.

The remote is poor. The pic quality is fab. But in the old days these boxes came with a warning " Steep learning curve" still applies.

If you buy with factory image it works but looks very basic. All the images used like Vix are actually hacks for the box. If you buy from Amazon de it will come with Openatv and 2 channel listings, one for 13e and one for 19e and language may be German nb AND A 2 PIN PLUG

NB it only has one DTT tuner so if you are recording on one mux you cant watch on the other. SAORVIEW has 2 muxes.
