Google Pixel 9 Pro/XL

Decent trade in value on Pixel 8 pro against the 9 in the Google store now. Pixel Buds pro 2 thrown in if you get the xl

732 trade in for the 8 pro so potentially 487 for the XL 128gb and the buds

CEX will give you 110 for the Buds.

Pixel 9 series obviously ain't shifting.

I bought the P9 Pro XL a couple of nights back after being offered a €433 trade-in for my P7 (bought it in Sep 23 for €519). Will report back when they payout, but expecting full offer price as phone is in good condition.

Just received the XL & Buds 2. Delivered in 27 hours with DHL via:

Netherlands → Belgium → Germany → Ireland → 3 counties → Home

Thats some speed.

How long did it take in the end to get your money? Still with here.

Update & timeline on my Google Store trade-in (Google have outsourced the Trade-in process to PCS Wireless) for a Pixel 7. My phone was in new near condition as it always had a cover & screen protector.

08/10 - Trade-in initiated (i.e. at point of purchase of Pro 9 XL)

14/10 - Trade-in return kit received (DHL satchel)

14/10 - Posted phone in satchel via An Post counter

16/10 - Satchel delivery confirmation (to Netherlands)

21/10 - Email confirming Trade-in review period commencing (advised 3-4 day).

22/10 - Email confirming estimated full trade value (€433) has been approved. Payment to credit card to be made in 10-14 days.

A few things to note:

• IMPORTANT - Before factory resetting phone - ensure all Google Accounts are removed. Also ensure all PINs / Screen lock patterns / Fingerprints & Facial recognition are deleted before factory reset.
• Peeps on Reddit recommend doing a double factory reset to be safe (to check there is no PIN set on the phone).
• Take photos & a video of phone to (i) confirm condition of phone and (ii) show phone resetting to Factory condition.

There are a few horror stories on Reddit (like this and this) about trade-ins gone wrong with Google & and their partner PCS Wireless.

The reddit stories are worth a read, but balance it out by the fact people tend to only post there to complain. Its quite probable that majority of people (like me) have had a faultless experience.

Just follow the advice above to protect yourself if you decide its worth a chance.

It was rolled out on the 15th of October

Does it not show up if you check for an update? It did on my 8 Pro anyway.
