Has anyone done the trade in with Google themselves?. I have an S23 Ultra and fancy going back to a pixel phone but have a couple dings on the frame, a corner here and there mostly. Will they absolutely crucify me on the price?
Samsung trade in wise only ever care if the phone turns on and the screen is in good nick so hoping for the same!
See post 112 above confirming full trade-in price received from Google. Google outsource the trade-ins to a company called PCS Wireless.
I bought the P9 Pro XL a couple of nights back after being offered a €433 trade-in for my P7 (bought it in Sep 23 for €519). Will report back when they payout, but expecting full offer price as phone is in good condition.
Bought an XL on launch,wonder would they entertain me asking for the free buds now 😁
Just received the XL & Buds 2. Delivered in 27 hours with DHL via:
Netherlands → Belgium → Germany → Ireland → 3 counties → Home

I have reached out to our Senior Specialist for assistance, and they have informed me that the Pixel 9 Pro XL you purchased earlier came with a promotion that cannot be combined with other offers, such as the Pixel 9 Pro XL that comes with free Pixel Buds Pro 2. I have also checked on my end, and the standard return period has already expired, so we cannot process a return at this time.

I did ask if there was anything extra they could give, as I did trade in a pixel pro 8 for a fairly shite price. I am waiting for a reply
Update & timeline on my Google Store trade-in (Google have outsourced the Trade-in process to PCS Wireless) for a Pixel 7. My phone was in new near condition as it always had a cover & screen protector.

08/10 - Trade-in initiated (i.e. at point of purchase of Pro 9 XL)
14/10 - Trade-in return kit received (DHL satchel)
14/10 - Posted phone in satchel via An Post counter
16/10 - Satchel delivery confirmation (to Netherlands)
21/10 - Email confirming Trade-in review period commencing (advised 3-4 day).
22/10 - Email confirming estimated full trade value (€433) has been approved. Payment to credit card to be made in 10-14 days.
A few things to note:
There are a few horror stories on Reddit (like this and this) about trade-ins gone wrong with Google & and their partner PCS Wireless.
The reddit stories are worth a read, but balance it out by the fact people tend to only post there to complain. Its quite probable that majority of people (like me) have had a faultless experience.
Just follow the advice above to protect yourself if you decide its worth a chance.

not really a pixel 9 topic but just a comment on dbrand. I got their 'Ghost' case last year for the pixel pro 7. It was supposed to never 'yellow' or fall apart and it seems like it did for many.. mine scratched up a lot and probably got a bit yellow but nothing mental.. was pleasantly surprised to see them offer a completely free version 2 of the case to version 1 owners. Placed my order today for a Ghost version 2 for my pixel 9 pro. Interesting to see what it looks like.. probably be xmas before it turns up..

Yeah they told me I could return mine and reorder if I wished. Can't be arsed with that.

I traded in a pixel 6 pro for a 9 pro xl. I got offered 0 for it today and the p6p is being returned to me.
I'm going to return the pixel 9 pro, it's not worth it to me now without the trade in value.
Did they explain why 0?

I think I figured it out but I'll know when I get it back. I didn't remove the screen protector I had which was one of the glued Whitestone dome ones. it takes a few minutes to remove rather than a few seconds
