When you drive into a shopping centre parking space because it's too tight to reverse into, and it's raining heavily and the windows are all fogged up... and when leaving later you're cursing yourself because it's so difficult to reverse back out... and then the person in front arrives and drives off so now you can too. I love that so much. 😊

Watching the end of one of those “Star Trek - the next generation” episodes.
Basically the dramatic solution was “Have you tried turning it on and off?”

Have a bit of a cough, laughing made it worse. But it was worth it.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Switching to a new Broadband and TV deal which saves me €34 a month and also switching to a new home insurance plan saving me €120 for the year.

Yesterday I saw a car driving by with the grille plastered with yellow lime leaves. It reminded me of someone smiling after eating spinach or parsley. 😄

Our peace treaty with this years cluster of autumn spiders is holding well and if anything, relations are improving and a lasting peace is within reach.

There's a big hairy boyo that lives under the hall window sill and he's been there a while now. When i go to work and open the blinds, he pops out to say hello and I'm convinced he actually waves at me to wish me well in my day.

At this rate, i can see us sharing Christmas dinner and learning each other's traditions.

Genuine TH though because i used to be terrified of spiders but in recent years I've started to appreciate their many legged lovliness. Fascinating little things.

The can be cute and lovely. I like the tiny, jumping ones, they're adorable.

    For instance:

I love it when they jump about or they have one or both "arms" raised.

I have to admit, I used to be terrified of spiders too, but now I think they're pretty fascinating creatures. There's something so endearing about their little personalities and quirks.

A settled housing estate on my walk to work has always had a good community spirit, having a system where residents could ask others to pick up emergency supplies etc if needed.

This seems to have expanded during COVID as I can see there are lots of COVID pups being walked by the WFH dads, yesterday I overheard one of those dads telling his neighbour whose dog he was dropping off from the walk they share with the toddler, that baby now shouts in the car when they see Jack Russel dogs on the paths, the look of pride and happiness on both the grown up's faces was so lovely to see.

Arrived at my dentist 1 minute ahead of scheduled appointment time... traffic in my area was awful then two absolute crawlers boxing me in on the motorway doing about 7 under the limit... but made it and waiting…

Haha, agreed they are really cool. I met this little dude during the summer and he reminded me of a puppy (albeit a puppy with eight legs, fangs and huge eyes). He was really playful too, running in circles and happy to pose for pictures :)

Local NDLS center. Dealt with one of the most professional, efficient, confident, knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful individuals you could hope to meet in any public / state agency interaction…. The NDLS get some flack if you read some reviews and comments online but the person whom I dealt with was absolutely first class.

One of my local Aldi's has a cash self-scan! happy as it means I can regulate for at least a small amount of time the chemicals im exposed to. In turn, this means that I lessen my chance of a chest infection from my allergies.

There's something comforting about being around someone who understands your need for silence & space. You don't have to fill the air with words or explanations, they just get it..

Out for a walk one evening recently picking blackberries. Passed by a recent development to home Ukraine refugees.

Attracted by the laughter I looked over a tall hedge and there were a group of children aged between two and ten running around, playing with balls and bikes and behaving like children the world over.
In a world where daily we see children blown to bits in the interests or massive international conflicts it’s gratifying to see that our small country can provide sanctuary for a tiny portion of the most innocent of those involved.
I say this as a father and grandfather and am old enough to see the innocence of the beautiful children involved.

I made a roast for dinner.

    Yorkshire puddings and baked potatoes.

    The beef came out perfect.

    Oh yes

Abysmal day in work including being called a useless pr*ck by a customer for not yet sorting a job based problem that predates my employment by three years, even though id proactively rang him to let him know i had no update but was still working on it and wanted to let him know i hadn't forgotten the issue, a genuine courtesy call.

But it's Friday night, I've a whiskey, the people i care about, and a big bag of jellies and some telly.

All of my customers and all of my colleagues, all the kings horses and all the kings men, can suck my jelly strawberry devouring balls.

I rang my Dad earlier to ask him a very basic household wiring question that I already pretty much knew the answer to, but I'm fairly sure it made his day.
