Might actually be fact checked on false claims

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86,725 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

21 states allow abortions up until birth.

Only under exceptional circumstances described by their laws, not without restriction. Read the claim again.

Whistleblowers have noted abortionists regularly allowed children to be born alive, then die by neglect. The same happens from botched abortions where the baby is born alive.

Garbage. Nonviable fetuses can of course be delivered but that doesn't mean they have any chance of survival, even if given the highest levels of care. All the anonymous whistleblowers in the world doesn't change that. Such is the case fmr. Gov. Newsom was referring to in VA.

No pro-life law in the nation prohibits doctors from caring for miscarriages.

Yes, yes these laws exist. Amber Nicole Thurman would be alive today if they didn't exist.

Trump has not made such a proposal.

His Project 2025 sure does, and he's also made it clear that when states track women and their pregnancies themselves he will do nothing to stand in the way.

Trump has repeatedly said he opposes any further national legislation on the issue. He said… “It’s the vote of the people now"

Trump is a habitual liar and a flip-flopper, he also said he supports a 20 week federal abortion ban and that women have to be punished for an abortion.

A lie by taking a word out of context… a tactic loved by democrats.

This is cute when all your abortion claims are lies by omission.

The plan’s authors have acknowledged Trump had nothing to do with their conservative vision for the next four years. “Project 2025 is not affiliated with any candidate, and no candidate was involved with the drafting of the Mandate for Leadership, which was published by Heritage in April 2023”

They've denied it, that's not the same as saying he had no hand in it. He's been seen palling around with them and endorsing their work.

Even left leading Snopes declared: “No, Trump Did Not Call Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists ‘Very Fine People.’”

Another of your lies by omission, as Snopes also noted no fine people attended the rally, so there is nobody else he could have referred to. There's also the fact that the KKK and neo nazi orgs took comfort from his statement, they got the message.

“The President enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official,” stated the court ruling, written by Chief Justice John Roberts. “The President is not above the law.”

This, again, doesn't contradict what she stated at the debate.

What like Trump doesn’t have any ideas no less plans or policies?

    See it’s easy 😀

For an Independent observer you don't seem to be glued in, Trump has shown policies long before Kamala, she only released hers before the debate ffs, btw she has copied a few of his

It's about grievance - but there's more flavours of that than just white. Evangelical, rural, uneducated, male. Not always white.

Where can I read his replacement plan for the Affordable Care Act? He promised one way back in 2015.

That made me laugh at the debate you could see him wanting to say two weeks but he caught himself and gave himself "the not-too-distant future," which could be any time between the next two weeks or next 4 years (or longer, what's a century if not the not-too-distant future).

She didnt really answer many questions at the last debate, Fox would press her unlike ABC.

She recited her learnt off topics and antagonised Trump who got emotional and lost focus.

She has since regurgitated the same material in a few interviews almost word for word.

I dont think regurgitating the same things on Fox would be tolerated, especially when the majority of it is deflection.

I dont think regurgitating the same things on Fox would be tolerated.

Yeah if Fox is known for anything it's for not saying the same things over and over, or letting trump say the same rote nonsense over an over

    pull another

I'm to understand you're upset that Kamala Harris prepared too much for the debate? Gosh, nothing worse than a president who prepares for the job.

What question did she not answer? The transcript is online if you need to check it over. How many questions did she answer vs. not? And what do you define as "many?"

How? It certainly won't be by Trump. She handed him his arse in the last debate.

So it must then be by the bias of the network. But hold on, you guys are apoplectic that ABC were biased so surely you are not arguing that Fox News is biased.

And, although I am sure you haven't contemplated this, what you are effectively arguing is that Trump isn't able to stand up for himself and needs outside help and that can only do well when the other side is nice to him. Guess what? Russia, China, the EU etc etc are not interested in being fair. They are interested in getting the best result for themselves.

This constant complaining that the debate was unfair to Trump does nothing but show how useless Trump is

I'm also not buying the complaints about a CNN debate, considering how poorly the debate went for Biden and they didn't particularly do him any favors, especially of all right after the debate when the first words out of their panelists were essentially to declare Biden's political time of death and say he has to go. I don't remember MAGA having any real complaints about how the CNN Debate was handled for Trump in July, so why would it be a problem now? Besides: Trump's only excuse currently is "it's too late" because early voting has started despite this not being a problem when he debated Hillary as late as Oct 19 and Biden as late as Oct 22nd (and in 2020 early voting was incredibly prolific because of the pandemic).

Harris doesn't really want another debate. And in no way would she participate in a fair debate.

MSDNC's Stephanie Ruhle, in a discussion with Bill Maher, laid out the legacy media strategy and the Harris campaign’s strategy. She said the media should not be asking Harris questions. She said it shouldn't matter whether or not Harris answered any questions about her plans because Trump is a "threat to democracy."

Pressing Harris would expose all Harris' problems and how radical her positions are. So they want sneak her in without any real examination of her real positions or her lies, based simply on hatred of Trump. I guess a warm body that isn’t Trump is reason enough for everyone to vote for Harris.

Nothing to see here... just a presidential candidate's strategy to avoid any scrutiny, because, well… because Trump.

Pressing for another debate says it's all. Blew it on the first, failed on delivering her message. The electorate want actual solutions, not word salads and talk of joy BS

Terribly sorry yes indeed he has concepts of a plan - I’ve done him a terrible disservice 😀

That's hilarious and all but Trump did this same schtick in 2020, when again, he lost. He canceled one of the 3 debates declaring himself the winners of the other but he lost.

Trump won't run again. On the republican side in 2028 I foresee the best candidates being Vance, DeSantis, Haley or maybe even Gabbard if she joins the GOP.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,048 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

If you believe any of that, have you stopped to ask yourself why Trump didn't do all of this in the first debate?

Pressing Harris would expose her but Trump decided to ignore that obvious easy win and instead started making up lies about people eating dogs. When questioned his answer, which you would expect from a 6-year-old, was that he saw it on TV!

Trump fell apart in the debate. Yet you somehow belief that next time he will be brilliant and Harris will not be able to deal with a debate.

I don't want to ignore him or his posts, especially if he would like a response from me. He does make some valid points now and then. I'm just asking him to keep it a bit more brief if directed to me. What he does is his call and I'm good with his decision.

Some valid points but I think yours are subjective where mine are objective. And if you base you're reasoning on 'he's lying' then you lose.

There won't be another debate at least not on ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN, ABC News made sure of that. After the debate some at CNN realized the damage to their legacy brand caused by ABC news, and started questioning how it all went down. But after discovering they wouldn't be invited to the cabal's upper East Side parties they backed off.

To you and me maybe , but to the GOP and it's voters , absolutely not.

They see him as the next big thing.

Would it be hoping too much that Haley is the next candidate? As far as I can tell she's the only person in the party with a pulse at this point

In an unannounced visit today to the US, President Zelensky, visited a munitions [artillery shells] factory in Pennsylvania to thank it's 300 workers for their helping Ukraine's millions in it's fight against Russia. He announced that he has a peace plan to end the war between his country and Russia which he will present to the UN general assembly, and not include any ceding of national territory to Russia. It's a strange one.

He also said he was going to meet with Biden, Harris and Trump for the same purpose. I don't think Biden and Harris will pan Ukraine's peace plan but don't know how Trump will respond to it. It does seem an unusual act to provide Trump with knowledge of the plan knowing how he responds to something arriving on his desk out of the blue without mulling things over for at least 24 hours. I don't imagine him claiming ownership of the plan and letting the public know he'll present it to Putin in Moscow to gain "peace in our time" votes but he does hold the US record for conning attempts.

If there is to be a debate going forward it will probably have to be on CSPAN where they don't take side, they simply let the guests present their positions. The nutty call-ins are hilarious at times.

I can guarantee you that the MAGA crowd would find an issue with a CSPAN debate as well...

Who knows. Over my many years I've seen the republican party become more like old time democrats, and the democrat party become more like old time socialists.
