Joy with no substance only appeals to the low information voters.

So MAGA should love it then if that's the case??

"Most biased debate in history." LOL.

Really, life's too short to waste time in Trumpworld. It's not improving your lives or the lives of your children, it's arguably making it worse. Imagine having a daughter who meets the same fate as Amber Thurman, America's Savita (and there have been many women put through this nonsense.)

All due to actions taken by Donald Trump, who got to do them due to voters like you.

It must really piss people off that private schools, and even the Christianity schools, graduate kids at higher levels than public schools, kids test higher, are accepted into colleges at higher rates, and are better prepared for the real world. Hmmm… I guess they teach more then just Bible verses.

Where in the world did anybody claim they should exclusively promote a conservative viewpoint? It simply means they should turn schools away from being liberal ideology indoctrination centers.

So is he going to cut funding for schools that chant the pledge and salute the flag every day - patriotism made political? For schools that promote one particular religious ideology- of course not, that is totally acceptable. Given that the vast majority of people do not understand the meaning of the words/phrases 'critical race theory' 'gender' 'marxist' 'communist' 'social' and 'socialist', what an immigrant is, legal or illegal, etc, how can there be reasonable discussion about any of these things?

Trump has pretty much succeeded, even while he is not President, in sowing and cultivating division, hatred, suspicion and total belief in 'me, and my rights' at the expense of everything worth having in a society. Just think what he would be able to do if he were re-elected. I don't think he will be re-elected, but it is depressing that so many people in America, the buzz-word-parrotting cult of Maga, actively want the place to be the next North Korea or Afghanistan.

    Low information voters?

I must have missed the posts where you called out Trump's fabricated race baiting about immigrants.

So let me get this straight: you want to end the department of education but you still want money from eg. California and other creditor states to subsidize your education in eg. Pennsylvania through federal taxdollars into for-profit private schools with almost zero accountability how that money (tax dollars) gets spent. In other words, you want more money to throw around as you please, so you don't have any actual problem with throwing money at the problem. Do I have that right?

Your understanding of what blackmail is is more than a little screwy.

Perhaps he believes doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting different results is madness.

The universal Mail-In Ballot undertaking went against Pennsylvania election law. But when you have a democrat governor and a Supreme Court filled with liberals and democrats you can expect they don't much care about any law they don't agree with.

The Department of Education sets it’s own goals and basically uses blackmail, in the form of funding to ensure states fall in line with their dictates. They laughably lead us to believe their funds merely are a means of supporting the states. But what they actually do is use the money to force state and local education programs to fall in line with what the federal government believes is the national interest and dictates to the states by targeting where and how those funds are utilized.

It's funny how you call it blackmail when someone else does it to eg. make sure students in every state know how to do basic **** like math and science, but when Trump's Dept of Education wants to do it (for culture war nonsense), you describe it as 'a pretty good thing'

The question was answered, you disliked the answer because it implicated trump as the reason for the failed border bill. It further highlighted trumps unsuitability for high office.

All from one answer by harris during a widely seen interview.

If you were a moderate or centrist, you would see that (as you would also if you actually read the Guardian piece about trump being too lazy or incompetent to do what he says rather than thinking it exonerates his uselessness in office somehow).

    Of course they do..

People who can afford to send their kids to Private school or who seek to send their kids to private schools are going to be more educated than average and are going to be more invested in their kids futures.

It isn't news that the children of University graduates are more likely to go to college than the children of parents with a GED.

It isn't news that the children of White collar parents are more likely to go to college than Blue collar kids.

A Private school having 90% of its pupils going to college is far less impressive than a public school in the inner city getting 25% of their pupils into College to be honest given all the other factors that impact the likelihood of a student going to College.

It is the fallacy of composition.

If you tracked children who have ever flown 1st class… they would also be more likely to attend college.

It doesn't mean if we fly a kid from an underfunded public school 1st class, it'll boost their college chances.

    1. Why should she agree to debate on a channel that had to shell out nearly a billion dollars to settle election defamation lawsuits in 2020?
    2. I thought Trump "won" the debate, so why are we still whingeing that it was "3 on 1" or some such bullshit?

Most colleges that dropped SAT requirements for Covid-19 have since resumed requiring them. It had nothing to do with the scores being indeterminate of academic success it had to do with SAT testing being untenable during a pandemic…

So Trump's initial plan is to get rid of the federal Dept of Ed, and he will then dictate which schools get what funding based upon his own opinions and feelings? So the state doesn't get any control, the control is just removed from the DoE and given over to Trump?

What does widening school choice mean? It sounds great, but what if I want a school that teaches critical race theory? Trump has already said that he won't allow that. So choice is based solely on what he wants? But apart from that, he is advocating more schools. Lowering private school fees? What about transport? Will a person living on one side of town with only public schools be provided funds to pay for transport to allow them attend a different school across the state?

Robert F Kennedy Jr recently wrote a piece describing what MAGA really means. He included…

    “What ‘MAGA’ really means”

“The phrase has troubled liberals who think it is a call for a return to an America before civil rights, gay rights, and women’s rights”

He went on to say “one that is truer to my experience of Donald Trump as he is today”. “‘Make America Great Again’ recalls a nation brimming with vitality, with a can-do spirit, with hope and a belief in itself.”

“It was an America that was beginning to confront its darker shadows, could acknowledge the injustice in its past and present, yet at the same time could celebrate its successes”

“It was a nation of broad prosperity, the world’s most vibrant middle class, and a idealistic belief in freedom, justice, and democracy.” “It was a nation that led the world in innovation, productivity, and technology. And it was the healthiest country in the world.”

“I have talked to many Trump supporters. I have talked with his inner circle. I have talked to the man himself, this is the America they want to restore.”

We've seen what MAGA means to Robert F Kennedy Jr… selling out your previously declared principles to shill for a possible cabinet position.

    He has no credibility.

Were were you? It went exceptionally well, until the pandemic devastated the entire world that is.

So now we are relying on a failed POTUS candidate to tell what another POTUS candidate actually means?

No-one, including Trump himself, has ever been able to say when America was last great and therefore what time period they want to return America back to.

So rather than RFK or whomever, when do you think America was last great and what do you think needs to change in order to return America to its former glory?

Teaching critical race theory as an elective if fine. It should not be a required part of any curriculum.

His description of MAGA sounds like it's trying to evoke a feeling of joy with no substance.

So a Governor and a Court ruled along political lines (in your view) and that's terrible because you don't like the outcome.

But when SCOTUS rules in a completely partizan way on things like Roe vs Wade , Chevron Deference and most egregiously "Presidential Immunity" you are ok with that because you agree with the outcome.

You are also outraged when the Federal government withholds funding for Schools that don't comply with their (in your view) liberal agenda , but it's perfectly ok for Trump to propose doing exactly the same thing with his conservative agenda

I'm sorry - But if you are happy if not thrilled with partisan decisions in your favour then you have absolutely ZERO standing to complain about it when the inverse happens.

And it isn't and NEVER HAS BEEN.

It's an elective Post gradute level module , it is not on any curriculum anywhere.

Yet more fact free MAGA nonsense

    1. Apples and oranges. Trump is suing ABC and still allowed them to host the debate (Seems they got their revenge). CNN gave Hillary Clinton debate questions ahead of the debate and still he allowed them to host the debate. Perhaps Harris should show similar resolve.
    2. Because it WAS 3 on 1 to anybody not wearing liberal rose colored glasses.
