If it helps (and sorry for banging on about my game shipping last week), tracking stuck at Order Received until 1.20am the day the game was delivered.

I have faith that Team Asobi will get the balance between nostalgia and novelty / innovation just right. Haven't read any reviews. Gave 1 article a read but it was full of glass half empty guff about a graveyard. Thats enough for me. Rescue Mission and Playroom are all I need to go on.

Absolutely. Even if they have a lot of the design, models, game engine etc from the previous game, it's still going to take a while to figure out what to do with them next. How you change it, how you evolve it, what new things to add, then actual level design, sound design etc. 4 years wait for this is fine imo.

This is what I saw a couple days ago:

Once rescued, you will be able to take these bots to the new game and add them to your starting crew. And in the last few hours preceding the release of Astro Bot, we will hold a special celebration countdown inside Astro’s Playroom.

The 4 new bots are now sitting beside the new game countdown (midnight) inside the PS5 labo so assuming its happening there close to midnight.

Edit: Someone in Australia posted an update at 6 minutes before midnight. "a whole bunch of Bots in that room... For now" so looks like the room with the countdown is the place to be at midnight 🤣. I wont post any more details about it here.
