Just played the DLC Winter level. Very well put together and a nice reminder of why astro bot is so enjoyable.

Speed runs still there for me. Given the extra DLCs have been released as "free additional content" and there are bots to get that count toward your total at the crash site I cant see any of them being temporary. Winter Wonder has 7 bots and a lot of other collectables that appear in the crash site also. This DLC only appears after youve completed the game.

playing through this with my 9 year old. She is better at it than me!! Though I did have to pass Lady Venoma for her. Pretty tough stuff.

It’s really brilliant. Very fun gameplay and looks incredible.

Been playing this with my 3 year old who's loving it. He's too young to play anything himself but I've been handing him the controller for the gacha machine and for the bits where you clean and assemble the spaceship parts and he absolutely loves it, the tactility and motion controls are absolutely perfect. It's a shame there aren't more games out there that take advantage of the controller in the same way.

There's Returnal. But I doubt your three year old will get much out of it.

Hah yeah I don't think I'll be putting Returnal on in front of him any time soon! Completed Ratchet & Clank back when he was a baby, might be worth a revisit some time.

The other game I've played with him recently that he loved was Plucky Squire. There was nothing I could hand him the controller for but it's a really charming little game and there were lots of simple puzzles that I could explain the problem to him and he'd suggest solutions.

Edit: Sorry I thought you were looking for games to play with your child. But even if you are not it's a bright vibrant game that a child would like. There is two a 3d game and 2.5d game. Both very good.
