It'll really depend on what section you're applying for or get assigned too. Most teams in Clonskeagh are only 1 anchor day in the office, (it could vary - some are more days or potentially all week!) so you could feasibly commute in, but Clonskeagh gets notoriously busy so I'd leave early. I'd have a chat with them in the interview & HR if possible explaining your situation - they were all lovely and very helpful in mine. Good luck!

Many thanks the blended working was mentioned. I do like the role on offer but the interview was quick fire questions over the competencies. It's hard to completely following the STAR method. Still another interview step to go if I pass the first interview which went OK but definitely I could have done better. The pressure got to me a little.

Curious when you say assigned to does that mean they could put a person forward for a different role than the one they applied for?.

In case anyone's still interested or looking for permanent CO roles - NSSO are recruiting again for 2024, through Sigmar again also. https://www.nssojobs.com/

Thanks, do you know if they are taking off the general PAS co list or just this one, has the last panel been exhausted?

Thinking of applying for the NSSO role in Galway - anyone have any input?

I assume flexible/remote work is still available in 2024? And how long until that begins for new starters?

Any insight for what type of work is done in Clonskeagh? Read earlier that it's a call centre role.

Anyone hear anything back yet about their application yet? The deadline was last Friday 24th May. When would you expect to hear back?

Not yet, I emailed them, they said they are currently in the shortlisting process, and we will hear feedback in the coming weeks. Yikes

Same here, is there a minimum number of questions you have to answer in time allocated? Will you be practicing beforehand?

Did ye complete the apptitude test yet? How did ye find it? Didn't do it yet myself

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 149 ✭✭Gympodie

Not yet, I want to practice first. Hopefully, in the next few days.

I went on to go practice too ,and it's just bringing me straight to the exam....can't seem to find the practice questions like in previous apptitude tests

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 149 ✭✭Gympodie

Yeah, that is a pity. I am practicing using those free aptitude tests that you find online. It's not great, but at least it's something. I wonder is there a minimum limit of questions you have to answer. I remember the Garda Siochana aptitude tests - you had to answer like 30 q's in 12 minutes. Crazy stuff!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 125 ✭✭dells35

I done it this evening one of them was 34 questions in 20mins . Can't remember how many questions was in the other one. But I completed both before the time ran out. But saying that I don't know how good I done.

Some were and some weren't,I thought the questions at the start of the verbal reasoning ones were difficult and didn't make sence to me

I completed mine today. You are right about the Verbal Reasoning, some through me off, I didn't know whether some were 'false' or 'Cannot Say'. I completed them all, but some were guess work. I wonder what the threshold is.

hey everyone, what did you all think of the online assessment? I feel nearly out of breath after doing it but glad it’s done. They don’t make it easy on us anyways!

    Anyone hear back from this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 149 ✭✭Gympodie

Not yet, it is at least two weeks since the closing date for completion of the assessments. I wonder how long does it take them to give feedback.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 149 ✭✭Gympodie

Awfully slow process. At this rate the start date could very well be after Christmas!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 125 ✭✭dells35

Passed through to the next stage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 131 ✭✭rosknight

Well done dells35, do you mind me asking what score you got and what batch they put you in?

What are peoples opinion on the questions in the exam?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 131 ✭✭rosknight

Way over the top for CO grade and too "British" related.
