BusConnects Dublin - Likely phasing of new routes

Last I saw was a councillor confirming that funds had been allocated for the works this year.

I have updated the likely phasing based on what we know about the next phases, and how that impacts later changes:

E Spine:

New routes: E1, E2, 19, L1, L2, L3, L12, L14, L15, L26, L27, X1, X2

Cancelled: 46a, 46e, 63, 63a, 84, 84a, 84x, 145, 155, 184, 185; Northern half of route 4; Northern half of route 11; Northern half of route 13

Amended: Route 4 to operate Heuston Station-Monkstown Avenue; Route 11 to operate Phoenix Park-Sandyford Business District; Route 13 to operate Mountjoy Square-Grange Castle

The locals in Killinarden wanted the connection to the post office maintained!

Like anything though - that might change!

It is replacing the 140 southside by extending south, hence it is in the F Spine phase.

Remember that this is resource driven and trying to ensure that no one loses out in terms of having a bus service in each phase.

Given that the 26 really didn’t change back when the C Spine launched, I guess they really didn’t want to change the number.

It’ll change further when it extends further south to replace the southern half of the 14. That can’t happen until the A Spine phase as it is intertwined with the other routes in Ballinteer.

God knows, being honest about any of the phases.

It will all boil down to resources.
