And sure he does things on his own time. From what I understand he probably filmed 50/60 hours of footage here

He strongly hinted at playing Cork a few months ago and the way how he said it made it sound like he would be playing this year. But nothing seems to have happened there.

It's been 16 months since the Dublin gigs and yet again he's f*cking over his Irish fanbase by dragging out whatever he has planned. Whatever was planned for the filming, the least he could do is tell us what and give us an estimate release date. If he's dragging it out til next round of gigs, when will that be? Leaving us as a last thought yet again.

16 months is not a long time to edit and make a concert film and documentary series whilst also performing/recording etc that he spends his waking hours also doing.

he probably can’t give anyone a timeline as you don’t know how much longer editing and piecing hours of documentary footage together. Then there is complications of marketing and media strategy for whatever platform he is going to release it on.

I forgot about the concert they recorded at Notre Dame in October 2018. It was on TV on December 2nd. So only a few weeks to do all the editing.

Netflix/Prime's business model isn't to get stuff out as quick as possible here. They both have a massive backlog of canned material like this ready to release whenever there's a lull in their programming. They need to attract new subscribers every month, if they bring everything out at once, and then have nothing to bring out in one quarter, they get screwed by the new subscriber numbers. During the writers strike they were blessed to have this, as they were able to continue to releas new material, even with writers/actors on strike.

It's not "they're lazy" thing that's resulted in this not being released yet

16 months is more than enough. As movie maestro wrote above six Nations from 2023 was filmed and there's a documentary about that now.

The least Garth could do is talk and tell us what's in the pipeline but he won't even do that.

I replied to this thread last night and this thread is the only link I have to that poster and I woke up to a string of messages. I was informing the poster that he has the wrong person and that I wasn't going to read, open his messages or reply to them. He's f*cking insane. If the mods wish to ban me, so be it, it's water off a back. People and users shouldn't be be going around sending a charade of messages like that to anyone and then to drag back out onto here after I exposed him and called me Amy/Karen. Why didn't he leave his name to his post? Likely trying to humiliate an ex girlfriend or something.

Aaaaaaanyway, the idea that Brooks is saving this for an All-Ireland tour is fanciful at best.

Took him long enough to get back here and seriously doubt he'll bother heading around the country in future.

If the documentary/series/film comes out, it will likely be to to promote some US dates/residency, not a minor little jaunt around Ireland.
