Regarding the bleep test is it a case we keep going after level 8.8 or will they stop us once we reached the level?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 266 ✭✭Marty1476

they will stop you to get prepared to push another group through

I wonder when the panels for last year's recruitment will run out and they'll start using this year's panels

Are they going to mix people from 2022 with 2023 recruitment, in Templemore?

Oh yea sure they want full classes, so I'm just trying to figure out how many are left on the panel from last year to estimate when they might start using ourselves

if you call the HR number there's a guy called <mod snip> working there, he's always good for a bit of information, he won't answer the question directly but he'll tell you "not to book holidays in September" kind of thing

Only dying to find out when the physical is, does anyone know what happens if you can't attend the date they give you and if you were to fail a component, how long before you can try again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 180 ✭✭RarePhilosophy

I think if you fail you get one reattempt at it.

Surely there is some sort of selection regarding the date of the test.

Does anyone know if we can defer an offer of a start date? And if so how many times can you do that?

Anyone else received the e-mail with form B?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Grace259

    Yea I did

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 ConorAFH

Did you all get the same dates or are they spread out cause I got Sunday 9th Friday 15th Saturday 16th as possible dates or Is there a chance they might be earlier?

I got same dates as yourself, probably based on when you send off your medical and form b

Did you get dates for the fitness test? and how long after your interview did it take?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 ConorAFH

Got mine today there 9th 15th and 16th and I done my interview on July 4th passed on July 28th

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 SkyBoy69

Thank you mate, did my interview on the 2nd of this month. I'm hoping we get dates for the fitness in October, I'm in the second batch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9 Ed93

Anybody know if the October intake is full yet? Or would successful batch 1 candidates after the fitness test in september be able to get in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Grace259

I'm pretty sure there's a fair few left in last year's intake before we start getting called

Still waiting myself from 2022 recruitment so hopefully they get people in quick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Grace259

So are you waiting for something to come back or your number hasn't been called yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39 osk112

When I emailed HR they said background are on going but that's taking a while I see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Grace259

And where were you roughly on the panel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39 osk112

I was placed 170 for interview stage 3 and 3018 stage 1 if that make sense

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 anglica

Does anybody know if they take more to check the suitability for those living abroad?

Also, when do we know about the dates for our medical exam? I know it is after the physical test, but do they take long to get into contact, or do you leave Templemore already knowing the date?

hi guys im watching this thread a while and finally thought maybe i should sign up. I'm in batch 1. going to fill out my form b at the minute. and was wondering how you guys are preparing for the fitness and if there is anyone in the north or north west of the country that's preparing for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 180 ✭✭RarePhilosophy

Ive been going 5/6k runs to prepare for the beep test. I also do the beep test every now and then (measure out 20m distance and get the audio online) .

Set my timer for 1 minute and try and surpass my sit-up requirement. I’m currently getting 40 in one minute , when the minimum is 35 for my grouping.

Then try and surpass my push-up requirement as well.

Anyone filling out their Form B what are you filling out for the references section ? Especially the part where it asks for a reference from a person who have known you for at least 3 years from your Second/third level institute ?
