I don't want this thread to get diverted, but you characherisation of James Comey is dead wrong. AFter all, he stood up to the traitor Trump.

A domestic religious war is the last thing Putin needs now

    Something is brewing in Russia

It's this route that the Kremlin can and without a doubt would compromise influential business and political figures in the west if they allowed themselves fall into the trap. Chinese gangs on that par too. For use for the state of China. Probably most likely have sharing of information between them.

Any gullible young people thinking of availing of services if they plan on being successful in business or politics... take note.

I don't see how there can be any bargaining. Zelensky has said several times that he won't negotiate with putler. I mean, how could he speak with a man whose army are systematically raping, destroying and looting his country?

It's all a moot point anyway because the counter offensive is coming. We don't know where or when, but I am confident the orcs will fold like a cheap suit.

China want to be seen as peacemakers and have always came out with the diplomats line of "we urge both sides to find a peaceful solution"

Similarly when they do not back the right of States to independently secede (Crimea, donbas) its because they want Taiwan. They likely have no qualm with the Russians stealing clay.

Look how autonomy worked out already,

And Russia will want to keep their peace keepers on the ground to protect the locals from foreign agression, which in turn they would want the maps redrawn to get Kherson too

This was brewing before the invasion last year. Authorities in Moscow were starting to use bilingual road signs (for those from the Muslim provinces) in the capital which some weren't too happy about.

After the invasion Putin was moving the christian Ukrainians into the Muslim provinces and far east bordering China.

Probably russian doctrine and master plan and long term strategy - short term blindness, had this war as a way to cool down the division and kick the can further down the road.

I don't know about that, it's far more likely she's just another under-educated Russian whose best option for financial gain is the sale of her natural assets.

Kompromat of a sexual nature only really works against those representing, or dependent upon political support from, conservative religious backgrounds. Any decent spin doctor could re-habilitate a western politician or businessman from a sex scandal "battling mental health issues... self-medicating with alcohol... a moment of weakness... deeply regret... blah blah blah". It'd be much, much harder, if not downright impossible to come back from a charge for treason.

Zelensky won't negotiate with putler not because Pu is a murderer. but because no negotiation is possible. Putler wants a temporary ceasefire to build up forces for a future attack, while keeping all captured Ukrainian territories. There is not even a hint of "russia returns some territory, Ukraine agrees to give up Crimea" type of talk.

Yesterday visit to Poland suggested that might change,

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Poland yesterday, when senior advisers softened their approach to Crimea, saying that if the spring offensive succeeds then Ukraine would be willing to talk with Russia about the peninsula.

Up until now, Ukraine has held a "very firm line" that it will not engage with Vladimir Putin until Russia has vacated Crimea, which it annexed in 2014.

"Are we starting to see the first seeds of an opportunity for talks later on this year?

The quote was "If we will succeed in achieving our strategic goals on the battlefield and when we will be on the administrative border with Crimea, we are ready to open diplomatic page to discuss this issue"

This is an important bit of wording. It doesn't mention Putin at all. To me it reads more like "GTFO out of Crimea or we'll turn the taps off and HIMARS every piece of military kit on the peninsula". It's smart because Ukraine doesn't really want to full frontal storm the Ishtmus of Perekop. That would undoubtedly cause an incredible loss of life and material to the UAF. So instead they siege the peninsula until it is no longer tenable and Russia gives it up diplomatically.

Then at the same time Kyiv seems like the more reasonable one because they're open to diplomacy on the issue of Crimea returning to Ukraine. I doubt very much Ukraine are softening on the idea of retaking Crimea.

They can't have their grain exports on the black sea subject to inspections and the whims of the Naval Forces of a belligerent nation. They avoided catastrophe on this by the whims of another fickle nation Turkey. But that isn't a sustainable long term plan. And Ukraine know this. We saw already Russia tried to pull out of this agreement.

I read it the same way.

Cutting the land bridge to Crimea is key. Once that is done the orcs will have to funnel supplies by boat and the Kerch bridge (which Ukraine make unusable). It will only me a matter of time until the orcs are forced out and it's the same playbook the Ukrainians used to remove the orcs from Kherson.

OK, I can accept that Comey was foolish, and that the episode very likely cost Hillary the election, but he is not a Traitor. That is a term which applies to Trump.

Ukraine employed an escort, Ksyusha Maneken, in an intelligence gathering capacity. She was probably very successful as they awarded her a medal.

We already know that Russia will not negotiate over Crimea, Zelensky might not have an option if the upcoming counter offensive doesn't achieve it's goals or gets bogged down they could well be put in a position by international supporters to make a deal of some sorts,by the lastest talk coming out of Russian is if the Ukrainans counter fails they will make a final push into ukraine with 400,000 troops for another grab before sitting down asking for negotiation,

I've been saying for the last 9 years they should take Crimea by force but even now it's could be easier said than done,I personally hope they use this counter offensive to smash all the way to savatopol before removing the kirsch bridge,

But they are struggling with bakhmut, Avdiivka, kreminna the Russians are still very dangerous, some seem to believe that Russia will just fold and melt away but we are seeing anything but that ,

I'm sure some chairperts will be along to shout Slava Ukrani but that means fauq in the bigger picture, people will close accounts and come back under a new name saying they have predicted this and that was going to happen all along,or been telling us since last year how they predicted bakhmut wouldn't fall , despite knowing feck all about bakhmut or anything else about ukraine last year.

💬 The use of nuclear weapons is unacceptable, including in the war in Ukraine - Xi Jinping

❗️ Xi Jinping made the first statements after the meeting with Macron , — mass media

    - called for the resumption of peace talks regarding Ukraine as soon as possible.

    - on behalf of China and France, called on the international community to avoid escalation of the war in Ukraine.

As utterly useless as I expected, apart from the nuke comment.

Translation: Ukraine should give the Orcs what they want and other people should stop helping ukraine by giving them stuff that helps them kill Orcs.

Another diplomatic coup from Macron, rivalled only by his earlier incredible achievements brought about by frequuent one on one dialogs with putrid, in which he was thoroughly humiliated, when everyone else wanted sanctions and couldn't see the point in talking to the shit.

Yeah, I read that similarly - Ukraine will be open to negotiations on the return of Crimea when they've liberated their territories in Donbas, are roughly back to the 2014 borders and the point of those negotiations will be the diplomatic return of Crimea (perhaps with a port-lease agreement for Russia?) in order to avoid the loss of Ukrainian soldiers and materiel that would be necessary to take the peninsula by force.

Thanks to Viktor yanukovic they already have a lease in excess of a century signed in 2014 before yanukovic was evacuated with billions of dollars belonging to Ukraine over to Moscow,

Russia won't give up Crimea without a fight especially being they still have a Strong Naval presence in the area along with over 100 + fighter aircraft and attack helicopters 60 + ,

All the while the majority of the current population don't see themselves as Ukrainian they previously had autonomy from Kiev , There's going be some tough decisions that will need to be taken going forward,

Either it's all of Ukraine returned or Ukraine minus Crimea

I love Putin very much. He give me free house.

    "Who stayed there before? "

Not sure. They either dead now or in Siberia.

"Will you leave if the Ukrainians come back?"

I don't want to die. So I probably will.

    "Where will you go?"

I'll be on international television first pleading for assistance and refugee status. So hopefully America or Germany. If not maybe back to Russia. But I don't want to go back to Russia.

"What do you think happened to the Ukrainians here before?"

I already told you dead or Siberia.

*The above conversation may or may not have happened.

Have you not been saying for months that Ukraine will push Russia back to their borders and Ukraine shouldn’t accept anything less??

I can’t figure you out, one minute it’s Bakhmut holds next it’s Bakhmut will fall and it’s all Ukrainian propaganda.

They shouldn't accept anything less but if there biggest supporters are going to tell then it's time to sit down and talk they might not have a choice, considering they are solely reliant on the rest of the world for everything from weapon, munitions and intelligence gathering,

I said 8 months ago bakhmut holds and said it 7,6,5,4,3,2 months ago but I also said it may not hold indefinitely, the Russians have changed tactics recently and now seem to be looking to move behind bakhmut into invanivske and possibly chasiv yar which would stretch the forces inside bakhmut, there could be a difficult choice to make in the next 2-3 weeks ,
