Under a grand (with the cash back immediately applied) for this TV is fantastic value. They're repurposed C1 screens, fair enough, but the extra features on the C2 don't IMHO justify the price gap

The 120hz refresh rate (with G-Sync and FreeSync Compatibly) puts it way above the current 60hz A2 model, for the same price.

That is an absolute bargain - you're effectively getting an upgraded C1 TV. I bought one from RicherSounds before Christmas and I'm delighted with it.

Someone put this in layman terms for me. I've not idea about TV's. I have a Plasma Panasonic 3D TV, got Glasses with it back in the day :) with Avatar the movie...TV still going strong all the same but I was told its ancient

If you are not fussed about TVs, stick a Google Chromecast with Google TV or Fire TV Stick into the back of it (~ €60).

Even cheaper would be a NOW TV stick which would give you the basic apps. RTE Player, Netflix, Prime, Disney+. (~ €15)

I got one on black Friday deals for that price.

I can't receive digital text service from saoirview or UK channels. It's being looked into by LG via HN repair centre.

I came from Samsung TVs. Imo, the umage is a ten where the Samsung qleds are an 8, but, the OS on the LG is a complete pain in the ass to navigate compared to the Samsung, so user experience is far better on the sammy. I'll see how the text situation resolves when I hear back from LG. It may be a dodgy tuner.

Web OS is. Major letdown.

I've a Sammy and LG in the house already and find the Sammy UI to be far too sluggish and laggy. Older Samsung, to be fair, which this is replacing

I couldn't find one, and I was looking for a second one for our living room. LG had a surplus stock of 55" and 65" panels which is where these models came from.

I had a LG 3D TV, which was top of the range back in the day. The difference between this TV and older models is night and day in terms of picture quality. Everything from sports to films to general programmes show far greater detail and are far more realistic.

The sound on the other hand is only ok and not a major step up from my older TV. I use a Sonos Soundbar which brings a whole new level of realism. It's like you were in the centre of the action.

Thanks OP. My 10 year old 50' LG Plasma has given up on me over Christmas, so just ordered this. I had been looking at the LG OLED G2 and C2 and wasnt even aware of this CS6 model. The reviews on this look very good and it's a great price. Excited to finally experience a OLED at home.

Nothing wrong with the old Panasonic Plasmas, if it isn't broken there is no real need to upgrade unless you watch alot of 4k content.

Standard definition and HD content looks better on a 1080p plasma compared to most 4k Oled sets as there is less upscaling.

Ive read that the higher frame rates on the Plasma, 600Hz can make sports look smoother vs 120Hz Oleds.

The main advantage of Oleds is they can be made in much larger sizes than plasmas, and are obviously better for 4k content.

What does the stand look like for it ? My current TV has about 3 inches of space under it with legs on the corners, which allows me to fit a couple of older consoles under it. This one looks like its one stand nearly the whole length of the TV is that right ? There dont seem to be decent pictures of videos of the TV on the website for me to check.

Your input will generally still only be 60Hz. The plasma will be a perfectly smooth 60Hz because of its 600hz refresh rate but can still only accept a 60Hz signal. If you're gaming on it you're locked to a (very smooth looking) 60fps.

This panel has a VRR and can accept 120hz signals

You won't fit anything under this TV unfortunately. I was able to have my sound bar in front of my old LG tv but with this one the soundbar blocked the very bottom of the screen so i had to move the soundbar.
