    Hi.

    Quick Question,

Since applying for this campaign, I have acquired another additional 'experience' that would be of benefit to this role, obviously it is not included on my submitted application form.

Can I mention this at interview, or do the panel simply take all information submitted on the original form?

    Has this ever happened before?

Oh that's brilliant! Delighted for you.👍️ Best of luck in your new role :)

You can and should mention it at the interview, especially if it strengthens your chances of getting a higher OOM.

I did my CO interview after being a TCO for a few months (I had applied for both around the same time, before I started the TCO contract) and they asked in the CO interview whether I had anything to update about my job experience. They’ll most likely ask, and if not definitely mention it because they will take it into consideration

I started my CO contract a couple months ago, I was given equipment and started working from home in my first week. I’m only one day in the office, and I was able to put in my formal blended working application in my second or third week

I have just done the assessment tests today. Generally how long to hear back about an interview or pass rate?

    Hi,

I got an email over a week ago to start garda vetting "as it can take some time". I've sent in all that was asked for vetting plus self declaration form.

Garda vetting hasn't moved to in progress yet in the tracker and I haven't heard from "a case worker will be in touch with you" from PAS to go through the rest of pre clearance.....

Long winded but I know others who got an email to say you're now under consideration for a position in X location, please complete vetting and self declaration forms.....and they were contacted within a few days from PAS......

MY email doesn't mention I'm under consideration.......just wondering is anyone else in the same boat and does anyone know is it imminent that I or we will be under consideration for a location very shortly? Boss is putting pressure on me to book Christmas holidays and don't want to do anything to see if I will be getting an offer. If so I'll be using up all my holidays and not carrying some over to next year

im in same boat and emailed PAS. was told there's 23 people ahead of me in pre-clearance for Galway. All that's worrying me is the closing of the panel before my oom is reached.

Hi All, So, just wondering if they got to your OOM for interview. Do you get a new OOM and have to wait again til your reached for a job offer? And then my next question is, if you have a new OOM is that valid past the end date of this competition 31st Jan 2023? Thanks :)

OOM stays the same. Panel still expires Jan 31st regardless unfortunately.

Same for me. Submitted vetting over a week ago now and still hasn't been looked at unfortunately. Jan 31st deadline is getting close 😳

What is involved in the Garda vetting? For the TCO I just entered all my previous addresses

Also is there a separate thread for the 2023 campaign that I can't find?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36 NigelB770

Previous addresses, photo ID(passport) and a utility bill with current address is what I submitted

Don't have a bill in my name (tho I could get that changed this week) - would driving licence/passport, bank statement and wage slip be enough?

Found this but no clear indication of what is accepted for what Acceptable Garda Vetting ID Documentation.pdf (ul.ie)

Yeah there's alternate options you can use, bank statement might be one of them, think a P60 or a letter from current employer with address on it are others

Can't believe there's only one post on it but here is a separate TCO 2023 thread. Maybe there's another one I missed? :/

P60’s are a thing of the past, there called an Employment Detail Summary now and can be downloaded on MyAccount.ie in the PAYE services section under Review my Taxes 2018 - 2021. Just make sure if your address isn’t correct to update it in Manage My Profile first. Or you could send a My Enquiries to Revenue requesting a new Tax Credit Certificate and that would be dated within the 6 month timeframe.

The Tax Credit Certificate for 2023 will be issuing automatically within the next few weeks as we are nearing the year end so they can also be used.

Not everyone has utility bills in their name.

V jealous! I’ve started in courts and no work from home so I’m told!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36 NigelB770

Didn't know that. The Garda vetting application though, specifically stated a P60 or P45 doc as being an acceptable form for vetting purposes.

Sounds like that template of theirs needs to be updated.

2 or 3 weeks usually to hear back about aptitude tests I think

@NigelB770 I'm in the same boat too. I emailed them the form for vetting and the Self declaration form over a week ago now. I haven't heard anything yet. I also still haven't gotten this link for vetting that you're supposed to get. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get this link to start the vetting process?

Has the CO ampaign for next year started yet?

Might be worth contacting them. I got an email saying thanks for submitting your documents and then later that day the E vetting stuff came through. But again it's sitting pending for over a week now.

There was a Dublin only and a Temporary Clerical Officer campaign a few weeks ago. There hasn't been a 2023 nationwide campaign advertised yet. It's getting late in the year now. Hopefully they might extend the current nationwide panel beyond the end of Jan 31st. Its happened before I've been told by a friend in the civil service

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭nhg

    P45 gone since 2018 too - they weren’t replace with another document like the P60 & P21

PAYE Modernisation did away with all of those

It’s crazy that some financial institutions, councils, HSE etc still have these documents listed in there list of requirements for grants, loans etc & when someone submits the new replacement document, they often still come back looking for the obsolete document….

The new one is only for Dublin though - shouldn't affect people getting placed in other regions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,934 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Is there going to be a nationwide one? Seems strange to open a Dublin only one and then a nationwide one which you would presume includes Dublin. Was there a Dublin only one the past few years?

Maybe there is a lot of positions open so...

Know a few people around the country from the 2022 CO still waiting to be placed

There have been Dublin only campaigns before. I guess with the volume of government buildings in Dublin they are bound to need many more COs than the rest of the country.

My hunch is that the CO 2022 nationwide campaign will be extended, as both the TCO and Dublin CO campaign are ongoing and in the very early stages.
