it was a strange game in that sense. Our forwards seemed more interested in getting their own scores rather than giving the ball to players in a better position for goal. While at times fisted points are necessary, a few chances today seemed selfish. Killian Spillane may have also moved above Brosnan on todays display.

Well there are many potential combinations but at least it's a step in some direction, we will find out if it's the right one after a few years.

As long as you have the provincial system you will have hammerings, but the next attempt at restructuring will make the provincials as irrelevant as they have ever been when it comes to deciding the championship.

The provincial championships are not going away anytime soon.

The provincial councils are dead right to insist that they remain part of the championship.

Otherwise the revenue to the provincial councils will dry up and all the championship money will flow to central GAA coffers.

And even 8 is being generous. (speaking as a Limerick man).

Limerick had brilliant games this year in Div.3 with virtually a kick of a ball winning most games. Another 2 cracking games V Clare and Tipp. That's our level. Any of the teams Limerick played this year would've suffered the same yesterday. And i would throw in most of the Div.2 teams in that too.

Reality is that the Kerry County champions would probably beat Limerick,Clare,Tipp or Waterford.

Lads we scored 4 goals against Galway and 5 goals against Tyrone last year in the league and it did us no good. No point humiliating Limerick even more by knocking in 3 or 4 goals. Let’s save the goals for when we need them in a tight game! If you’re scoring a load of goals against weaker opposition, teams will be more focused on ensuring they don’t allow goal chances.

We did not go for goals. I think in the second half the players were under instructions not to go for goals. If we went for his the final score would have been 5 maybe 6-18/20.

Last year against Tyrone it was not putting the ball.over the bar that cost us the game. We tried to run the ball.into the net and Tyrone defended deep turned us over and scored mostly off those turnovers.

If we had taken points last year, we would have been reset for the kick outs and win that game handy.

Pathetic, surely better to drop the prices by a tenner and get an extra say 8k people turning up, same money from the gate for that but the team gets to play in front of a bigger crowd and more fans see them live

14.5 k not too bad considering it was clearly going to be a mismatch .

Kids are included in the 14,587 figure because tickets for juveniles were a fiver for stand and terrace. Further gouging after upping the adult prices

I think they are free into first round of the championship. I think they were never free into the Munster final

The problem here is that it won't matter a jot to an overall majority of counties and Provincial Councils if Munster and Leinster are virtually dead, as long as Connacht and Ulster remain decently competitive. In any case, Cork had no problem challenging for All-Irelands during the 2000s, culminating in their 2010 success, and the fact that Monaghan and Roscommon keep punching above their demographic weight shows that the Rebels should be performing much better in the League.
