Just wondering, did revolut send a request to everybody for a new card? All my family and friends seem to have gotten the request to order a new one but I haven't received any such request, I've an old enough card too (from about 3/4 years ago)

My loans tab also says "join a list to see when revolut credit is available to apply for" which is interesting, I did join the bank a few weeks ago.

Yes I got notified via the app and also via email, my card was about the same, 4 years old at max. I believe (not 100%) that you had to make a confirmation on the app or email for them to send you the new card.

Strange, if I want to order a new card it's 5.99+7.99 delivery so hopefully they send me that notification soon

I closed my irish accounts about a year ago. Switched to Revolut for main day ti smday spending while I ha e my savings and salary paid to n26 (Revolut didn't have bank guarantee then).

Never looked back....have all direct debits going from Revolut account. As soon as either offer credit cards I'll be switching to that.

I'm done with **** irish legacy banks (except mortgage).

Yes I get that now after receiving the replacement card, perhaps yours is fine. If I select 'Cards' my old card has 'legacy' wrote below it.

Haven't had any problems in the past few days, fingers crossed with the new Mastercard.

I haven't received notification about replacing my card. I have been an account holder for about 4 years.

Fwiw I’m the same. I haven’t been asked to update card etc. Mrs Dodge is the same as myself. A customer for about 5 years. Not sure when I got the last physical card

I'm the same with not being asked to update. Been with them a good few years now

I was only asked on Wednesday to replace mine.

I'm currently having problems adding transaction notes. Anybody else having this problem?

No guarantee you'll get what's in the picture. I specifically wanted a Mastercard to buy WRC tickets, picked the Mastercard card, and got sent a Visa one.

Right.... after debating which current account im gonna move over from KBC to, I've decided to throw my lot with revolut.

I'm a little nervous about it after reading some people have had their accounts frozen for suspicious activity but my experience with them has been nothing but positive.

I just stepped through the process of joining revolut Bank. I accepted everything but I do not notice anything different within the app to tell me I've joined. Also in the 'to do' list it says join revolut bank.... as if I hadn't done it already. Gonna contact support to make sure everything legit but has this happened to anyone else?

Just had a regular top-up from an AIB debit card to Revolut declined - "Your card failed 3DS verification. Please ensure you have entered correct 3DS information or contact the CARD PAYMENTS DEPARTMENT of your bank before retrying." It is, of course, a bank holiday. Nothing has changed with my cards or main bank account. Not the end of the world, I have other cards, but is it happening to anyone else, or is it just a bank holiday thing?

All existing customers got asked recently of they wanted to join Revolut Bank. Its a new legal entity that has more protection than the old school Revolut. I joined it, makes no difference to how you use the amount daily.

Thanks bud, it turns out you can confirm you're signed up by scrolling down to the bottom of the profile section and see if Revolut Bank Uab appears.

Hi folks i have an Ulster bank account , going to set up Revolut Bank Account,

just wondering whats the best way to take the money from this Ulster account too my revoult, and do Revoult have there version of a Credit Card?

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators Posts: 7,332 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sheep Shagger

Assuming you can wait a day or so for the transfer to take place, you could do a one time transfer to the IBAN of your new Revolut account or link your Ulster bank debit card in the Revolut app and top up using that.

    No credit cards yet....

seems There is an awful lot of issues with Revolut lately. We find it constant issues with sending money from AIB to revolut

'Awful lot of issues'....who are they with though? I find people like to give out about new entrants like Revolut etc whilst the legacy banks are allowed to be **** lol.

What's the difference in a Mastercard and a Visa? I had Visa but my new one is Mastercard. Why do some people prefer one to the other? I don't notice a difference except of course for the failed numbers of transactions that go through before it is finally accepted on the new card. That's annoying. Is this happening to anyone else?

It is a shame that we still cannot re-categorise transactions from linked accounts. It makes this feature pretty much pointless.

Yes. I find it useful to add notes where the retailer isn't clear. I use it a lot and noticed it wasn't working since Sunday.

Literally the only difference for me is that I wanted to buy tickets for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, and you needed a Mastercard to access the ticket site a day or so before they went on general sale, as Mastercard are sponsors of the RWC. Pain in the arse, ended up having to transfer money to someone else to buy the tickets using their Mastercard instead of my own Visa cards.

Happened me once over the easter weekend and the problem seemed to be on AIB's end. Tried again this morning and it worked fine.

I'm an Ulsterbank customer, & have had a Revolut account for a long time at this stage, have signed up for the Revolut Bank (no difference noticed in my day to day)

The question I have though, is what re the issues, if any, that I would face if I make Revolut my main bank, as in get my salary paid into it and set up my standing orders/direct debits from it?

I would have a good few, was going to set up an EBS account to put my salary into & set up the SOs/DDs but would be handy to have everything in one place if it were possible.

You might find some third parties won't accept your Revolut IBAN for direct debits even if that is illegal. Same for n26 etc as they are not IE.

I use it as my main account and have done so for the last 2 years and havnt actually had any issues such as these. When I was an eir customer I had to fill out a paper direct debit form as online it didn't work but when I switched to Gomo it was linked to my debit card do wasn't an issue.

My mortgage is still with a legacy orysh bank as is my credit card. As soon as I can move my credit card to Revolut I will be - will never touching irish bank account.

**** service and infrastructure from start to finish.

I'm looking to switch to Revolut bank. I note that the IBAN is different, but I can't find anywhere what the address should be. Is it this address, does anyone know?
