Such a shame that the Berlin Tempelhof Airport Circuit is so boring to look at. Hoping for a great race(s) though and I guess we won't see the championship leaders anywhere near the front of the grid on Saturday which adds to the intrigue. Would love to see Frijns get it.

Oh hey, there's something else I've managed to completely overlook about this weekend - we're going both ways.

Saturday's race is in the normal direction, while Sunday's race is in reverse. That would explain why there's two practices on Sunday...

Classic Werhlein - way too agressive and came off wurst. Disaster for Bird in today's race.

Some race so far. Ds really making a balls of it strategy wise.

I still hate the 15mins plus 1 lap or 12 mins plus 1 lap rubbish. Bring back a set number of laps and get rid of that nonsense it's so much better when you know how many laps not time there is to go.

Also I have to say fair play to Boards.IE still for having Formula e in the sports foum and section. It will not feature in any other media be in print or broadcasting not even Sky will mention it these days but Boards still has it in the right place. I think everyone else just thinks it's an entertainment show and do not take it seriously.

I have never liked the Audi livery. I think it's very dull.

Compare it to Jaguars livery which is so much nicer or even Mahindras which was always lovely.

I wonder who will come in to replace Audi when they leave Formula-e after this year.

I think it would be great to see Hyundai or Kia in Formula-e.

    Even Mazda would be good.

Toyota need to get more into electric cars. They're way behind. RnD in Formula E world be good for them.

Today's race wasn't to bad. I like the wide nature of the track, and probably allows multiple lines to be taken at corners. This layout doesn't have much of those tight parts where you could only fit a Badgers whisker and causes pile ups when the chance takers are going for it.

I have to say, is there any merit in playing it safe in Formula E? I wonder who is Mr Consistent and near the top of the table?!

I agree. It would be a great fit for Toyota and cheap compared to F1 too.

I think it would be good for Ford to get into it too.

Also I think Stellantis should try and get one of there's into it maybe Opel or Peugeot.

How haven't Tesla come in yet? You'd think this would be right up their alley.

I have come around to the track design, in today's sun it looked good and the space was really nice when you consider some of the tight affairs we have had this season. I think the 6 races in a row last season just tired me of the circuit. Di Grassi is some man on that circuit. Speaking of mister consistency, nobody really stands out. Maybe Frijns for having a chance of winning the championship without winning a race. Or Dennis has looked fairly consistent and actually seems to have some speed this weekend, the only guy from the first group of qualifying to get into superpole yesterday I think. Imagine he won it on BMWs last race (or Di Grassi for Audi).

The Fact that Toyota have resisted electric in their road cars probably has a lot to do with it. The self-charging hybrid style of F1 is probably better suited (but too expensive). When Formula H (Hydrogen) starts then I expect Toyota to be the first team to enter.

Yes you would think so but maybe they are worried about if they did not do well the effect it could have on there reputation or maybe they just never noticed it yet or the cars are too slow for them.

Seems the series failed to transfer from a heavily regulated series promoting e Mobility to a more open and more expensive one.

Opening up the regs, would throw all the independent entries under the bus. Keep it close, make the manufacturer unhappy.

Also the struggle to bring it to the key markets. Often enough it was locked away behind paywalls.

Jaysis, Nick doesn't really have to finish this race to win the championship! The other contenders are too far back in the race and points to make any difference.

Nope not now. Only Mitch Evans and Jake Dennis were a threat to him and they are both out now one because of his car failing and been crashed into and jake because he locked up and crashed into the wall fecking idiot. I think I cursed them both lol.

Actually Felix De Costa could have won it if De Vries finished out of the points but he is now out too and by the looks of it it was De Grassi fault he put De Costa into the wall idiot.

That was some race that. I thought yesterday's was crazy and could not be beaten but today's was even more so.

Well that is Mercedes happy anyway with both the drivers and Constructors championship in Formula-e. I just hope they do not start to dominate here like they have done in Formula 1 or it will be the end of Formule-e.

It's hard to know if this Motorsport will keep going. It still seems too gimmicky. If we look at the support race ideas, the Roborace idea feel flat, while Jaguar didn't seem keen to keep running the ePace series. You really need other manufacturers in there with electric road cars.

I'd be of the opinion that next year will determine whether Formula E will live on. They need to step up to bigger tracks and have more power, and start going to proper race tyres and pit stops.

I kept a loose eye on Formula E this year. There were some thrilling races (see Monaco) and some downright nonsensical ones (see Valencia wet race).

The qualifying format felt unduly confusing and I'm reading it was more of a lottery than anything else, and some suggests it devalues De Vries' world championship title.

After fifteen races, I do not see any one driver who was consistent all season. If you look at who finished near the top of the table, their race results are underwhelming bar the odd win. Why? Maybe it is a bit of a lottery how qualifying works and then it being difficult to overtake during races relying on others to throw away their race with a crazy move.

De Vries won the championship with four retirements. Looking at the table, his double 2nd place weekend in London really helped his championship drive.

Robin Frijns, without a single retirement, finished 4th whist 2nd & 3rd had 3 and 4 retirements respectively.

Mercedes-Benz confirming their pull out of Formula E.

Actually two to go. Both Audi and BMW are pulling out too.

So the question then becomes who is going to come in and replace them? Will it be a manufacturer or a private team?

    Will be interesting to see.

Regarding pitstops for tyre changing. That goes against their sustainability message if the tyres can't last a race distance.

Valencia and that Mexican mini Indy just went to prove that these cars don't race well on tracks designed with I.C.E. vehicles in mind.

Okay, I've posted through the advance range Sky listings... and coverage this year is looking really sparse. Nothing on VM1/2/3, the BBC, or Quest.

    Friday 28th

    • Delayed qualifying: 4pm, Eurosport 2
    • Live Race 1: 4.50pm, Eurosport 2

    Saturday 29th

    • Live Race 2: 4:30pm, Channel 4 or 4:50pm, Eurosport 2

    Yes, Cfúcking4 to the rescue!

Scratch that, CHANNEL 4 HAVE EVERYTHING THIS YEAR.

Currently next Friday's sessions have been prepared on the C4Sport YouTube channel:

Nope. Channel 4 have all the rights to it now. Even Quest is not showing it any more which is bummer. Some highlights of yesterday's race would have been nice. Quest were good for that. Why was it not live on TV?

Because it's Ireland, no-one cares or does anything properly and when you have jokes like Virgin having a bunch of TV channels I very much doubt anyone there knows what they have the rights to. Broadcast TV is doing its best to kill itself so just stick with YouTube.

Anyway, kinda **** race. I still don't understand what the point of the power boost is. The time added on at the end is gimmicky and pointless. The analytics going on mean the teams will have it covered so it doesn't even make a big difference. And the tracks, lads it still just looks like a karting track with too-big cars running around. With the cars being so tightly matched and little tyre-wear and the lack of space every overtake seems to be a barge and hope for the best kinda scenario.
