Team was a mess, missed a few deadlines over xmas where I would have played it, so still had 2 in the bank. Then there was this, another monthly league and I wanted to wait until post AFCON to WC.

That Lowton benching is a blow for me. There’s probably an 11 point swing in our tie based on whether he comes on or not.

The fact that Jay Rodriguez is the only player on their bench who doesn’t appear to be a keeper, defender or DM is about the only thing giving me any optimism towards him getting a cameo.

I was certain Lowton was going to come on for a 1 pointer! That 0-0 rescued what was turning out to be a FH disaster!

You can't play back to back FHs. But no, probably not anyway. If it was winner takes all 750, what you'd be playing for in a final would be bigger, but once you've actually reached the final you're playing for 250 so that doesnt feel like something you'd go way outside of prime strategy for your entire season over.

That isn't a criticism btw, I think the prize structure is good and fair. But it does impact strategy.
